50 Cent’s trolling works best as performance: a quick meme, a pointed caption or an elaborate bit timed to land in public. These 15 reported episodes, drawn from XXL’s 2020 roundup, are a curated selection—not an objective ranking—and range from celebrity feuds to jokes that needed a factual caveat. Where the original posts are unavailable or deleted, the incidents are attributed to the outlets that documented them.

The Floyd Mayweather reading challenge (2014)
50 Cent challenged boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. to read from a Harry Potter book, offering to donate $750,000 to charity if he did. XXL reported that Mayweather answered with an Instagram image of a $62 million check and a claim that he could read that. Whether Mayweather read the book was unclear; the memorable part was 50 turning a reading challenge into a taunt about a rival’s literacy. XXL

The Ja Rule tickets stunt (October 2018)
After an announcement showed Ja Rule concert tickets available through Groupon for $15, 50 posted that he had bought 200 tickets so the venue would be empty. XXL documented the boast, not a verified purchase or an empty room. It was a classic 50 Cent maneuver: make the rival’s ticket price itself the punchline. XXL
-
The Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj crack (January 2016)
After taking Meek Mill’s “Gave ’Em Hope” as a subliminal shot, 50 replied with a joke about Meek having a child with Nicki Minaj for child support. The personal, deliberately provocative dig escalated a musical feud into an attack on the couple’s private lives. XXL

French Montana’s hospital stay and Bugatti
After French Montana was hospitalized in December 2019, 50 posted a hospital-bed joke. The following January, he claimed he had paperwork showing French’s Bugatti was financed over 60 months. XXL explicitly said that financing claim had not been verified, so it belongs in the story as a taunt—not as an established fact. The two posts show how he could stretch a feud from a single moment into a running gag. XXL
-
The Vivica A. Fox exchange
An argument that began after comments about Empire turned into a back-and-forth between 50 and Vivica A. Fox. XXL reported that he used a Cookie Monster clip for a sexualized insult, amid an exchange that included homophobic language from both sides. The episode is memorable as a personal feud played out through pop-culture imagery, though the insults were not harmless banter. XXL
-
Oprah’s fall and Michael Jackson’s ghost
When Oprah Winfrey fell during a speech, 50 posted a clip and joked that Michael Jackson’s ghost had tripped her. XXL dates the post to February but does not specify a year. The absurd supernatural explanation made a brief, embarrassing moment into a cartoonish celebrity meme. XXL

Gabrielle Union and Being Mary Jane
After Gabrielle Union joked that fans should blame 50 for Being Mary Jane being canceled, he fired back on Instagram. XXL reported his caption as “things were gonna change” and “no disrespect with all respect, I have no respect.” The mock-polite phrasing was the joke: it made the insult sound like a formal notice. The show’s cancellation was in November 2017, according to XXL. XXL

Deontay Wilder after the Tyson Fury fight (February 22, 2020)
After Wilder lost the WBC heavyweight title to Tyson Fury, 50 posted a mocking image and caption. The jab stood out for its timing: it arrived right after the fight, when the result was already a major public conversation. XXL
-
Bow Wow and Future’s dating history (August 2019)
50 joked that Future had dated Bow Wow’s former partners. XXL documented the post as a vulgar caption; the point of the joke was to needle Bow Wow by invoking his relationships, rather than to establish a complete or independently verified account of anyone’s dating history. XXL
-
Wendy Williams after her criticism (October 2017)
After Wendy Williams criticized him on her talk show, 50 posted insults aimed at her and her marriage. The response turned a television critique into a public personal attack—a familiar escalation in his online feuds, though the misogynistic insults are better described than repeated. XXL
-
The Emmy snub for Power (August 2019)
After Power had a ratings success, 50 criticized the Emmy committee for not nominating the show. XXL reproduced a profane Instagram caption; the broader gag was his posture as a proud, aggrieved producer treating the snub as a personal grievance. XXL

Choosing 6ix9ine over his son
During an Instagram Live session, 50 said he would choose rapper 6ix9ine over his eldest son, Marquise Jackson, according to XXL. The remark became memorable because it dragged a family estrangement into a public joke. Its impact is clear without treating a hurtful family comment as a punchline. XXL

The Power finale spoiler threat
Before the show’s final episode, 50 threatened to leak material during a dispute with Starz and posted an apparent reveal of who killed Ghost. XXL said the clip did not reflect the actual ending, since multiple endings had been filmed, and that the posts were later deleted. If you have not watched the finale, this entry avoids naming the apparent culprit—but even a fake reveal can spoil the experience. XXL
-
Chris Brown versus Michael Jackson (2019)
In posts from August and October 2019, 50 praised Chris Brown over Michael Jackson and made claims about Jackson. The comparison was provocative by design; the claims about Jackson are not established by the cited coverage and should not be read as fact. XXL
-
The Rick Ross chest-shirt joke (November 2015)
50 jokingly announced he would sell a shirt bearing Rick Ross’s chest. XXL said the post may have been a joke and had since been deleted; it does not establish that the shirt was actually sold. The gag reduced a rival’s image to a mock merchandise pitch, whether or not there was ever anything to buy. XXL

The trolling continued after the 2020 roundup
Later coverage shows the social-media feuds did not stop with XXL’s 15 examples. Complex’s 2024 retrospective described posts about Ja Rule, Vivica A. Fox, J. Cole, Drake, Dame Dash, and Diddy and Jay-Z. It noted that a clip imagining Diddy and Jay-Z being arrested was AI-generated; it was not footage of a real arrest, and the allegations connected with the lawsuit discussed in that coverage had been publicly disputed by Jay-Z. Complex
In May 2025, The Daily Beast reported that 50 posted about Diddy while Cassie Ventura was testifying in Diddy’s federal criminal trial. The article described some posts as artificially generated images and recounted testimony and allegations, not findings established by a joke or a post. The Daily Beast
In July 2025, Complex reported that 50 revisited the Ray J–Fabolous dispute by reposting audio from Ray J’s 2011 Breakfast Club appearance. His caption joked, “Remember the time Floyd almost got Ray j killed?”—a line about the feud, not evidence that Floyd Mayweather endangered Ray J. Complex also reported that Ray J later told Speedy Morman he and Fabolous were “good” and that he had been “tripping that night.” Complex
