Drake’s business ventures beyond performing span clothing, a record label, esports, entertainment production and whiskey. His role varies: he co-founded some, joined another as an investor and co-owner, and is associated with two ventures whose current ownership and status are not established by the available primary sources. One important recent change: in 2026, OVO’s operating business and its intellectual property came under different ownership arrangements.
How Drake’s five ventures differ
| Venture | Business | Drake’s documented role | What is established about operations |
|---|---|---|---|
| October’s Very Own (OVO) | Apparel and lifestyle goods | Co-founder and 44% owner of OVO intellectual property after the 2026 transaction | Vince Holding Corp. reported 12 stores and e-commerce in its August 2026 announcement; it acquired the operating business. |
| OVO Sound | Record label and artist services | Founder, alongside Noah “40” Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib | Santa Anna Label Group partnered with the label in 2024; OVO Sound remains a stand-alone label, distributed and marketed through Santa Anna. |
| 100 Thieves | Esports, gaming and apparel | Co-led a Series A funding round and joined as co-owner and strategic advisor | The company’s current About page lists Drake among its owners. |
| DreamCrew | Media production and entertainment | Associated with the venture on his official website | Current operations, ownership and project slate are not established by the available primary-source information. |
| Virginia Black | Whiskey | Associated with a past whiskey venture | Current availability, ownership and business terms are not established by the available primary-source information. |
These are not five equivalent or equally current businesses, and the available sources do not establish Drake’s earnings from them. The distinctions below clarify what each venture does and what is known about his role.

1. October’s Very Own (OVO): apparel and lifestyle
Drake co-founded October’s Very Own with Oliver El-Khatib and Noah “40” Shebib. OVO sells premium apparel and accessories through retail and e-commerce. It is distinct from OVO Sound, the record label.
A major ownership change was announced on August 27, 2026. Vince Holding Corp.’s announcement said Vince acquired OVO’s operating business and became its core apparel and retail licensee. It reported that Authentic Brands Group owns 51% of OVO’s intellectual property, Drake owns 44%, and Vince owns 5%. In other words, Drake remains a substantial IP owner and co-founder, but he is not the sole owner or operator of the apparel business.

#1 Best Overall
At the time of the announcement, OVO operated 12 stores across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as e-commerce. Drake described the partnership as a way to grow the brand: “We’re just a couple kids from Toronto who started something we believed in, here we are 20 years later, same kids with bigger dreams. Authentic and VNCE are the perfect partners to help us continue to grow.”
2. OVO Sound: a separate record-label business
OVO Sound is a record label founded by Drake, Noah “40” Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib. Its work is in music, not clothing: the official OVO Sound site lists artists including PARTYNEXTDOOR, Majid Jordan, Roy Woods and Popcaan.

On January 23, 2024, Sony Music announced that Santa Anna Label Group had invested in and partnered with OVO Sound. Santa Anna provides support in areas such as A&R, production, finance and accounting, marketing, and artist and label services. Sony said OVO Sound would remain a stand-alone label, distributed and marketed through Santa Anna. The partnership provides label services; it does not make OVO Sound the same business as OVO’s apparel operation.
3. 100 Thieves: esports, gaming and apparel
Drake’s role at 100 Thieves came through investment and co-ownership, rather than founding the company. In an October 23, 2018 announcement, 100 Thieves said Drake and Scooter Braun co-led its Series A funding round, and Drake joined as a co-owner and strategic advisor. The release described the organization as spanning lifestyle, apparel and esports.
Rank #3
The announcement reported that 100 Thieves had raised more than $25 million in funding to date as of 2018; that figure was not a disclosure of Drake’s personal investment or ownership stake. The company’s current About page continues to list Drake among its owners and describes its apparel and gaming-related offerings. It does not disclose his stake size.
4. DreamCrew: an entertainment and production association
DreamCrew appears on Drake’s official Drake Related website, establishing an official association. A description in a 2025 court-filing search result characterized DreamCrew as a multidisciplinary media production company with management, production-house and content-studio activities. The available primary-source material does not establish its current operating status, ownership structure or current project slate, so those details should not be treated as settled.
Rank #4
5. Virginia Black: a past whiskey venture
Virginia Black is a whiskey venture associated with Drake. The available evidence supports describing it as a past business venture, but does not establish its current availability, ownership structure or commercial terms. It is therefore a different kind of entry in this list from OVO, OVO Sound and 100 Thieves, for which company or official sources provide clearer information about their roles and operations.
What this list does—and does not—show
Together, the five ventures show Drake’s involvement across consumer products, music, gaming and entertainment. The strongest documented current operating details in the cited announcements and company pages are for OVO, OVO Sound and 100 Thieves. DreamCrew and Virginia Black are included as ventures associated with him, but the available evidence does not support claims about their present-day activity or his precise ownership. Comparable revenue, valuation or earnings figures are not established for these businesses.
