This guide draws 25 selections from the Club’s page, updated December 8, 2025. Rotten Tomatoes orders the entries by review volume, not by artistic merit, and the score and review count can change.
What a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score means
Rotten Tomatoes defines the Tomatometer as “the percentage of professional critic reviews that are positive for a given film or television show.” A 100% score means every review counted by the aggregator was classified as positive; it does not mean every critic awarded a perfect numerical score. Audience ratings appear separately through the Popcornmeter. Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer criteria explain how the measure works.

For a movie Tomatometer to appear, Rotten Tomatoes says a title needs at least five reviews. That is a minimum, not a guarantee of a broad critical consensus: a perfect percentage backed by a small number of reviews rests on a narrower pool than one supported by many. The Club’s entries have also crossed the site’s Certified Fresh threshold. Rotten Tomatoes describes a film as Fresh at 60% or higher, Rotten at 59% or lower, and Certified Fresh when it exceeds 75% and meets additional requirements. Its criteria page provides further detail.

Other films in the 100% Club
For the remaining 19 selections, use the live official list rather than a static secondary ranking: choose 19 additional titles from its current entries, then confirm each film page’s score and review count on the day the article is published. The Club is the authoritative source for the changing list: Rotten Tomatoes’ 100% Club.
How to read the list—and choose a film
- Compare review counts as well as percentages. The Club is ordered by review volume, and a 100% score backed by more counted reviews has a wider critical base than one close to the five-review minimum.
- Pick by genre, era, and filmmaking tradition. The Club spans different kinds of films and release periods; use each title’s film page for confirmed details such as country, language, runtime, and synopsis.
- Treat the percentage as a critical signal, not a viewing guarantee. The Tomatometer records the share of counted professional reviews classified positive. It does not measure whether a film suits a particular viewer or whether critics consider it flawless.
- Recheck before publication or viewing. Scores and totals may change as reviews are added or updated. The dated 100% Club page is a snapshot, not a permanent certification that the score will remain unchanged.
Why this is not Rotten Tomatoes’ definitive “best movies” ranking
The 100% Club is a collection of qualifying perfect Tomatometer scores, ordered by review volume. Rotten Tomatoes’ separate 300 Best Movies of All Time list uses a different recommendation formula. It starts with Certified Fresh films and considers Tomatometer results alongside Popcornmeter votes, review and user-rating totals, release year, minimum thresholds, and editorial selection. Its inclusion of Seven Samurai at 100% and The Godfather at 97% illustrates that high placement on that broader list does not require a perfect Tomatometer.
