Which films led the 2026 BAFTA nominations?
BAFTA’s 27 January 2026 announcement named One Battle After Another the year’s most-nominated film, with 14 nominations. Sinners was second with 13. The next tier included two films with 11 nominations apiece, followed by films with eight, five and three. These are BAFTA’s published nomination totals, not counts of awards won.

BAFTA said 46 films received at least one nomination. That figure refers to films represented in the nominations, not the total number of nominations. A higher nomination count also does not by itself indicate how many awards a film ultimately won.
What did One Battle After Another win?
At the ceremony on 22 February 2026, One Battle After Another won six BAFTA awards. Its wins included Best Film, Director, Adapted Screenplay, Supporting Actor, Cinematography and Editing, according to BAFTA’s results announcement. The film therefore converted its leading nomination total into six wins, rather than winning in all 14 nominated categories.
How are BAFTA Film Awards nominations decided?
BAFTA describes the awards as a three-round process: Round One establishes longlists, Round Two determines nominations, and Round Three selects winners. For the 2026 Outstanding British Film category, BAFTA introduced a strengthened eligibility criterion: a film needed at least 60% of the available points, and either its director or writer had to be British, subject to appeal under the rules. This was a category-specific requirement, not a universal threshold for every BAFTA category.

BAFTA made qualifying films available to members through BAFTA View and required voters to watch the longlisted or nominated films in categories for which they wished to vote. That describes access for BAFTA voters; it is not a guide to public streaming availability.
Who votes for the EE Rising Star Award?
The EE Rising Star Award is the exception to BAFTA’s peer-voting model: BAFTA says it is the only award decided by the British public. Other awards use the member, specialist-chapter and jury arrangements set out for their categories.

Where could viewers watch the 2026 ceremony?
BAFTA said the ceremony would air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, and its results announcement confirmed that those outlets carried it. This identifies the UK broadcast outlets for the ceremony; it does not establish where the nominated films can currently be watched.
