The first Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle opened in Japan on July 18, 2025, and in the United States and Canada on September 12. It is the first of three planned films adapting the series’ final arc. The film is now available through streaming services in some territories, while the second film is in production without an announced release date.
When did Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle come out?
The release dates varied by market. Aniplex announced a July 18, 2025 Japanese theatrical opening, while the official English-language site announced September 12, 2025 for the United States and Canada. International theatrical dates were staggered, so neither date should be treated as the worldwide opening. Aniplex’s announcement and the official English site provide the respective notices.
For Japan, Aniplex planned an initial rollout across 443 cinemas: 390 standard-format screens and 53 IMAX screens. The US and Canada announcement listed Japanese audio with English subtitles and an English dub. Those details apply to the announced theatrical releases; later digital and streaming options can differ by territory.
Is Infinity Castle the first of three movies?
Yes. Infinity Castle is the first installment in a planned three-film cinematic adaptation of the final story arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, based on Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga. It is not a standalone adaptation of the entire ending: the remaining films are intended to continue the final arc.

Where can you watch Infinity Castle now?
Availability depends on your country. On July 3, 2026, the official US site announced that the film would begin streaming on Crunchyroll on July 28, 2026, worldwide except Japan and Mainland China. The notice also announced digital purchase in select territories, including North America. Check the official viewing notice and your local service listings for current access, language options, and purchase availability.
Netflix Tudum reported on September 28, 2026 that the film was available on Netflix. That statement establishes Netflix availability as reported at that time, not access in every country.
