BGR reported that 20 movies were scheduled to arrive on Kanopy across four Fridays in June 2025. That schedule is historical: June 2025 has passed, and it does not establish whether any title is available in your Kanopy catalog now. Kanopy access is through participating public libraries and universities, so check your institution and its catalog before expecting to stream a film.
The titles and dates below are the lineup BGR published on May 15, 2025—not a current availability list. The schedule ranges from Buster Keaton’s 1928 silent comedy The Cameraman to the 2024 film Anora.

What “free on Kanopy” means
Kanopy says viewers access its streaming service through a participating public library or university. The service is not necessarily available through every institution, and the schedule reported by BGR does not guarantee that a title appears in every local catalog. Check Kanopy’s official site for access information and consult your institution’s catalog for what it offers.
What the June schedule does—and doesn’t—tell you
BGR described Anora as the lineup’s headliner and as the year’s Best Picture winner. The schedule also spans very different eras, including the silent-era The Cameraman, the 1980 comedy Airplane!, and the 2024 Anora. These are editorial descriptions of the reported lineup, not a ranking of the films.
