If you want another movie with a witty heroine, comic confidence, and a feel-good streak, start with Clueless for fashion-forward charm, She’s the Man for broad comedy, or The Devil Wears Prada for ambition under pressure. This is a curated set, not a ranking: each pick matches a different part of Legally Blonde’s appeal, from social comedy to workplace drive.
If you liked Elle’s confidence and underestimated-heroine story
1. Clueless (1995)
For the closest blend of fashion, social confidence, and a heroine with more heart than people initially see, try Clueless. Paramount’s official synopsis presents Cher as clothes- and status-conscious, but also as someone who tries to help others. That mix of polished image and genuine good intentions gives the comedy warmth as well as style.

2. Miss Congeniality (2000)
Choose this if you want a capable woman dropped into a beauty-pageant world, with makeover comedy and a fish-out-of-water setup. Its appeal is the collision between competence and an environment built around appearances—an easy fit for viewers who enjoy seeing a woman take control of other people’s expectations.
3. The House Bunny (2008)
This campus-and-sorority comedy is a lighter option if you want an underestimated woman navigating a new social world. It shares the outsider-to-insider appeal of Legally Blonde, though its comedy is broader and more focused on the sorority setting.

4. Bend It Like Beckham (2002)
For an upbeat underdog story, try this film about a young woman pursuing sport despite expectations. It shifts the focus from law and campus life to determination and competition, while keeping self-belief at the center.
If you liked fashion, status, and ambition
5. The Devil Wears Prada (2006)
This is the choice for style and career pressure rather than campus comedy. The official synopsis follows a young Midwestern woman who moves to New York hoping to become a writer and takes a job assisting a powerful fashion editor. Its workplace humor is sharper and more cutting than Elle’s, but both films follow women proving themselves in environments that make assumptions about them.

6. Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009)
Pick this for fashion-world comedy and a heroine whose ambitions and choices propel the story. Its consumer-world setting gives it a different flavor from Legally Blonde, but it suits a viewer looking for a stylish, light comedy centered on a woman figuring out what she wants.
If you liked the teen social comedy
7. Mean Girls (2004)
For sharper jokes and high-school popularity politics, go with Mean Girls. It is less of an empowerment story than a social-comedy pick, with a more biting tone than the sunny confidence of Legally Blonde.

8. Easy A (2010)
This is a smart, self-aware high-school comedy for viewers drawn to a heroine dealing with reputation. Its appeal lies in the way social assumptions become the story’s comic engine, much as Elle has to contend with people who think her appearance tells them all they need to know.
9. 10 Things I Hate About You (1999)
Choose this for witty teen romance, an assertive heroine, and an ensemble that gives the story plenty of comic energy. It leans more toward romantic-comedy rhythms than Legally Blonde, so it works best if the relationship side is what you want more of.
Rank #4
- Movie dvd
10. Bring It On (2000)
If you prefer rivalry and team competition to a romance plot, this high-energy female-ensemble comedy is a strong change of pace. The central appeal is competition and group dynamics, rather than career ambition or a makeover.
If you want romance, fantasy, or a familiar feel-good arc
11. 13 Going on 30 (2004)
Go here for a sweet fantasy-romance take on growing up and getting a second chance. It offers more wish fulfillment and relationship focus than Legally Blonde, making it a natural choice for a softer comfort watch.

12. A Cinderella Story (2004)
This light teen romance is built around an underestimated heroine and familiar fairy-tale beats. Pick it when you want a gentler, more straightforward romantic setup than Elle’s determined climb through law school.
13. 27 Dresses (2008)
For a warm relationship arc with an independent adult heroine, try 27 Dresses. It is the more conventional romantic-comedy option in this list, best suited to viewers who want the romance to drive the story.
14. She’s the Man (2006)
Choose this for broad, silly comedy about a woman pushing into a boys’ soccer team. Paramount identifies it as a film from the writers of Legally Blonde, making it the clearest creative connection in this collection. Its farcical setup is a bigger, sillier ride than Elle’s courtroom-and-campus story. Paramount’s film page provides the official listing.

15. Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde (2003)
The direct next watch is the sequel. It follows Elle after law school as she heads to Washington, D.C., to pursue a bill addressing animal testing. Choose it when the main thing you want is another chapter with the same character, rather than a new heroine or setting.

Not every recommendation is a romantic comedy. TIME’s discussion of how to define a rom-com uses a test based on whether a film would still work without its love story, and argues that Legally Blonde, The Devil Wears Prada, and 13 Going on 30 do not fit that particular definition. That is one critic’s framework, not a universal genre rule; it does help explain why these films can share an audience while offering different story engines.
