For a time-travel story about preventing tragedy, try Erased. If you want a lighter take on delinquent culture, Great Teacher Onizuka is a strong pick. No single series here recreates Tokyo Revengers’ mix of time-leap suspense and gang conflict, so these recommendations are grouped by the element you want most.
What makes an anime feel like Tokyo Revengers?
Tokyo Revengers combines delinquent conflict with time-leap suspense: Takemichi travels 12 years into the past and tries to save the girl he loved while changing his tendency to run away, according to Kodansha’s series description. The official anime site identifies the manga’s creator as Ken Wakui, says serialization began in 2017, and describes the work as time-leap suspense; it also notes the series received the 44th Kodansha Manga Award in the shonen category, without specifying the award year on that page (official anime site).
That combination is unusual. Some picks below share delinquent crews or school rivalries; others share a protagonist trying to alter events, or the loyalty and high stakes of an action ensemble. Treat the list as a guide to those overlaps, not a ranking of which show is objectively closest.
For delinquent groups, school rivalries, and loyalty
1. WIND BREAKER
WIND BREAKER is the clearest delinquent-school comparison here. Its official introduction follows Sakura as he enters Furin High School, known for its delinquents, aiming to become the strongest fighter (official anime site). Expect school crews and fights, not Tokyo Revengers’ time-leap suspense or the same gang-history stakes.

2. Great Teacher Onizuka
A former biker-gang member becomes a teacher in this older, more comic series. It offers delinquent culture and a lead with a rough past, but its school-teacher premise and humor make it a very different kind of story. ComingSoon included it in its recommendations.
3. Bucchigiri?!
Choose Bucchigiri?! for rival factions, delinquent action, and a more fantastical, comedic spin. It shares the crew-versus-crew energy more than the emotional time-travel mission.
4. From Today, It’s My Turn!!
This classic school-delinquent comedy is a fit if you want rival students and troublemaking without the heavy suspense. Its tone is substantially lighter than Tokyo Revengers.
Rank #2
5. Cromartie High School
Cromartie High School turns the delinquent-school setting into parody. It is a useful choice for the school and character archetypes, but not for tragic stakes, gang drama, or time travel.

6. Erased
Erased is a strong match for the urge to go back and prevent a tragedy. Its time-travel connection makes it a natural pick for viewers drawn to Takemichi’s attempts to change the past, but it is a crime and mystery drama rather than a gang anime. ComingSoon also recommends it.
7. Steins;Gate
For a more science-fiction-focused time-travel thriller, try Steins;Gate. It shares suspense around changing events, while its adult cast and science-fiction focus set it apart from Tokyo Revengers’ delinquent setting. It appears on recommendations from both ComingSoon and Keşif Asya.
Rank #3
8. Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World
Re:Zero uses repeated returns and mounting consequences to drive its story. It suits viewers interested in a character forced to confront the results of repeated attempts, but it is fantasy and isekai, not delinquent drama.
9. Summer Time Rendering
Choose Summer Time Rendering if the suspense of making repeated attempts to change a dangerous outcome is what you want. Its appeal is the escalating mystery and peril, rather than school crews or gang rivalries.
10. Link Click
Link Click is a time-related mystery option for viewers who want suspense built around time and consequential choices. Its setting and format differ from Tokyo Revengers; the overlap is the time-linked mystery, not the delinquent story.
Rank #4
For action ensembles, friendship, and high stakes
11. Yu Yu Hakusho
Yu Yu Hakusho is a classic action ensemble for viewers who want fights, loyalty, and strong group bonds. It does not share the time-travel premise, but the friendships and conflicts make it a reasonable choice if you are watching for the crew dynamics.
12. Eden of the East
Try Eden of the East for mystery, action, conspiracy, and social stakes. It offers a different route to high-pressure choices and suspense, without the delinquent-school focus.
13. Tearmoon Empire
Tearmoon Empire brings a time-reset or reversal flavor to a fantasy story with a comic tone. It is a tonal change from Tokyo Revengers, but may appeal if you want a character trying to avoid a disastrous future.

14. Tower of God
Tower of God is a high-stakes action and drama alternative rather than a delinquent match. VIZ explicitly recommends it to Tokyo Revengers viewers, making it a useful next pick if the appeal for you is dramatic conflict more than time travel or gangs (VIZ’s season 1 page).
15. Jujutsu Kaisen
Jujutsu Kaisen supplies supernatural action and team bonds, but not delinquent crews or a time-leap rescue premise. VIZ also names it as a recommendation for Tokyo Revengers viewers (VIZ).
