Whether a park is good value depends on your dates, total trip costs, the attractions you care about and how much of the day you can spend enjoying them rather than waiting. Compare those factors before you book instead of relying on an unverified ranking.
Why “worth it” is a visitor judgment, not a universal ranking
A park can be a good choice for one visitor and poor value for another. A family focused on a few headline rides may judge a day differently from someone who values shows, themed areas or a relaxed pace. The season, operating hours, crowds and ride availability can also change what a ticket buys in practice.
That makes a fixed list of “disappointing” and “worth every dollar” parks misleading unless it defines its geography, audience, travel dates and comparison method. The evidence available does not establish the 11 parks or 14 parks implied by that split, so naming them as a verified ranking would overstate what is known.
What visitor reviews can—and cannot—tell you
Accesso’s 2026 Voice of the Visitor report groups ticket prices, affordability and whether a visit felt worth the cost as value concerns. It also reports that 88.9% of “Worth” mentions in one-star reviews had disappointment as the primary emotion. That figure describes the report’s analysis of review mentions; it is not the share of guests disappointed at any particular park, nor a survey of all visitors.

The report says value complaints commonly appear alongside operational frustrations such as queues and crowding. That connection is useful when reading reviews: a complaint about price may really reflect a day when long waits, disruptions or limited access left a visitor feeling that the ticket delivered too little. Individual reviews still describe individual visits, not a persistent park-wide condition. For example, one Tripadvisor account about Silver Dollar City describes crowding and waits; it illustrates a visitor’s perspective, not proof of the park’s typical experience.
Calculate the cost of the whole visit
The admission price is only one part of a park trip. A 2026 affordability ranking covered by Travel + Leisure compared an adult single-day ticket with nearby per-person lodging costs and parking. That is a more useful starting point than ticket price alone, but your own total depends on your dates, travel party and whether you need a hotel.

FinanceBuzz reported an average single-day ticket price of $105 across the 20 North American parks in its 2025 study, 37% higher than in 2015. This is a historical average for that study’s sample, not a current quote or a price that applies to every North American park.
Check what your ticket is likely to deliver
Before comparing prices, look at the experience available on your visit date. Check the park’s calendar, operating hours and attraction-closure information, then focus on the rides, shows or other activities that matter most to your group. A low ticket price may not be good value if the attractions you came for are unavailable or the schedule leaves little time to enjoy them.

Waits and crowding matter because they affect how much of the operating day you can spend on the experiences you paid to access. If a park offers paid queue access, compare that option separately: it changes the potential cost of the day and does not make the base ticket price equivalent to a shorter-wait visit.

Decide first whether you are comparing a single day at the gate or the full cost of a trip. A park can look affordable on admission and expensive once lodging is included; another may cost more at the gate but require fewer additional expenses. There is no single standardized score in the cited sources that resolves those trade-offs for every visitor.
Treat awards and rankings as evidence with a method
Rankings can help identify what a particular audience valued, but their methods matter. Dollywood’s operator release describes an Achieve ranking based on Tripadvisor feedback about pricing and overall value. That supports describing the result as a ranking derived from Tripadvisor feedback—not as objective proof that the park is the best value for every visitor.

Likewise, an affordability ranking that combines a ticket, nearby lodging and parking answers a different question from a review-based value ranking. Neither guarantees what your visit will cost or feel like. Read the underlying measure before treating a rank as a recommendation.
Verify date-sensitive details before booking
Ticket prices, availability, hours and attraction operations can change. Universal Orlando’s official ticket information states: “Prices and availability vary by date and are subject to change at any time.” Check the park’s official ticket and operating-calendar pages for your intended visit dates, then revisit them before purchase if plans are not immediate.
