The orange Toyota Supra associated with Brian O’Conner is often called “Paul Walker’s Supra,” but the name can refer to more than one production car. The best-documented details come from two distinct stories: Toyota identifies Craig Lieberman as the original owner of the primary 1994 hero Supra, while Barrett-Jackson catalogs a separate 1994 movie car with its own VIN, build details and sequel role. Here are ten substantiated details—and what they do and don’t tell us.
1. “Paul Walker’s Supra” can mean different cars
The phrase is useful shorthand for the orange Supra linked to Brian O’Conner, but it does not identify one universal vehicle. Toyota names Craig Lieberman as the original owner of the primary 1994 Supra MK IV hero car. Separately, Barrett-Jackson cataloged a 1994 Supra as a movie car driven by Walker in the first film. A stunt car or lookalike may be another vehicle again. The cars should not be treated as one build sheet. Toyota’s interview with Lieberman and Barrett-Jackson’s Lot 744 catalog describe distinct provenance.
2. Craig Lieberman owned the primary hero car
Toyota identifies Lieberman as the original owner of the primary 1994 Supra MK IV hero vehicle and says he advised on the first two Fast & Furious films. His role helps explain why he is closely connected to the Supra’s on-screen identity, but it does not mean every Supra used in production was his car.
3. The cataloged movie car has a specific VIN
Barrett-Jackson’s separate 1994 Supra is identified by VIN JT2JA82J3R0009030. Its catalog lists an orange exterior, black interior, 2,997 cc engine and four-speed automatic transmission. Those details belong to that chassis; they should not be transferred to Lieberman’s car or other production vehicles.

4. The auctioned Supra appeared in both films
Barrett-Jackson says its cataloged car was used for interior and exterior shots in both The Fast and the Furious (2001) and 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003). The catalog also describes it as driven by Walker in the first film. That attribution does not establish that Walker personally drove it for every shot or stunt; the catalog does not provide a shot-by-shot vehicle log.
5. It returned as Slap Jack’s Supra
For the sequel, Barrett-Jackson says the original builder brought the car back and modified it for Slap Jack’s role. The car was later returned to its orange first-film appearance. Its sequel use is part of this particular car’s history, not proof that every orange Supra seen across the films was the same vehicle.

6. Eddie Paul and The Shark Shop built this car
The catalog credits Eddie Paul and The Shark Shop in El Segundo, California, with building the auctioned Supra for the first film. In describing the production process, Toyota’s interview quotes Lieberman: “So, the day to day was I would go in, and I would put together a build list, and show pictures to the producers, the directors, and the picture car captains, saying, these are the parts I would like to put onto these cars.” That account describes his advisory work; it does not replace Barrett-Jackson’s attribution of the auctioned car’s build to Paul and his shop.
7. Its orange finish had a named paint and graphic design
Barrett-Jackson describes the auctioned car’s finish as Lamborghini Diablo Candy Orange pearl and its graphics as “Nuclear Gladiator,” designed by Troy Lee. These names help distinguish the cataloged appearance from a generic orange repaint or a modern replica.

For this chassis, Barrett-Jackson lists a factory-turbo 2JZ-GTE 3.0-liter inline-six and a four-speed automatic. The available catalog information does not establish a verified performance figure for this specific car. Performance claims about Lieberman’s separate Supra should not be applied to it.

10. A licensed 1:43 miniature is documented
A Universal Studios LLC / Fanhome franchise-collection brochure lists a 1994 Toyota Supra Mark IV among its 1:43-scale miniatures, described as die-cast metal and ABS plastic and hand-painted. That confirms the model as a documented collectible category, but does not establish current stock, a particular seller or the exact likeness of any listing. Check that a seller’s description actually specifies the orange 1994 Fast & Furious Supra and the stated scale and materials.
What the record does—and doesn’t—establish
The two well-sourced identities are Lieberman’s primary hero car and Barrett-Jackson’s separately cataloged Supra, VIN JT2JA82J3R0009030. The catalog supplies extensive details for the latter, including its film use, builder, sequel modification, paint, visible parts and drivetrain. It does not supply a shot-by-shot record or a verified performance figure for that chassis. Keeping those distinctions clear is more informative than presenting every detail as a secret about one single car.
