Sean Combs: The Reckoning presents four episodes of interviews, footage and accounts about Sean “Diddy” Combs. A December 4, 2025 article by Emily Blackwood, hosted by Yahoo and originally published by People, highlighted ten claims from the series. They are claims by named participants—not all court findings—and should not be treated as independently verified facts. Combs’s spokesperson disputed the series’ framing and verification.

What does the four-part series cover?

Netflix lists Sean Combs: The Reckoning as a 2025 documentary series with four episodes. The episodes move from Combs’s early life and career to accounts concerning his relationships, the deaths of Tupac Shakur and Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace, and the federal investigation and trial.

  • “Pain vs Love” covers Combs’s origins and rise.
  • “What Goes Down Must Come Up” examines celebrity, Combs’s rivalry with Death Row Records and questions about Shakur’s shooting.
  • “Official Girl” looks at Wallace’s death, Combs’s career and allegations about abusive relationships.
  • “Blink Again” focuses on accusers’ claims, the federal investigation, Combs’s arrest and trial.

Netflix says the series can be downloaded for offline viewing. Availability may vary by region.

What are the ten claims described as bombshells?

The following points distinguish what the series or article says was shown from what an interviewee or other participant claimed. The December 4, 2025 article is the source for these summaries; it does not establish that each allegation is true.

  1. A claim about abuse in Combs’s childhood

Tim “Dawg” Patterson said he witnessed Combs being physically harmed by his mother, Janice Combs. The article says the series reported that Janice Combs was contacted and did not respond.

  2. A claim about Misa Hylton

Kirk Burrowes said he witnessed Combs assault Hylton outside Uptown Records. The article reported that Hylton had not commented on this allegation.

  3. The City College stampede and Bad Boy’s ownership

A 1991 stampede at City College of New York killed nine people, according to the article, which attributed the death toll to CNN. Burrowes alleged that Combs arranged Bad Boy’s ownership to shield himself from paying victims’ families. The article also reported that Combs paid $750,000 toward a $3.8 million lawsuit settlement in 1998, attributing that settlement information to The New York Times. The reported settlement does not establish Burrowes’s claim about Combs’s motive.

  4. Duane Davis’s claim about Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight

The article says the series included recordings of a 2008 police interview with Duane “Keefe D” Davis. Davis claimed Combs offered him $1 million to kill Shakur and Knight. The article says Combs has repeatedly denied involvement. The existence of an interview recording does not by itself prove Davis’s allegation or establish a link between Combs and Shakur’s killing.

  5. Burrowes’s account of Biggie’s return to Los Angeles

Burrowes alleged that Combs persuaded Wallace to return to Los Angeles, where Wallace was killed in 1997. The December 2025 article said no one had been arrested or charged in Wallace’s killing as of its publication; that dated statement does not establish the case’s status today.

  6. Who paid for Wallace’s funeral

Burrowes alleged that the cost of Wallace’s funeral was charged to the rapper’s estate. The article presents this as Burrowes’s account.

  7. Aubrey O’Day’s account

O’Day said she received an affidavit from another alleged victim claiming to have witnessed an assault on O’Day. She spoke about uncertainty over what had happened. The article also reported O’Day’s claims about explicit emails and the circumstances of her departure from Danity Kane; those statements are her account, not findings established by the article.

  8. Footage of a conversation about a $200 million deposit

The article says the series showed footage from days before Combs’s September 2024 arrest in which he told Dana Tran he was about to deposit $200 million. The footage, as described in the article, establishes that the conversation was shown; it does not establish that the deposit occurred or where the money came from.

  9. Clayton Howard’s account of March 9 events

Former escort Clayton Howard told the filmmakers that Combs held a “freak off” every year on March 9, the anniversary of Wallace’s death. This is Howard’s account as reported in the article.

  10. Rodney Jones’s allegation involving Justin Combs

Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones alleged that he saw Justin Combs attend “freak offs.” The article reported that Justin had not commented as of December 4, 2025; it does not establish his present position or the truth of Jones’s allegation.

What did Combs’s spokesperson say?

Spokesperson Juda Engelmayer called the documentary “a one-sided narrative led by a publicly admitted adversary.” He said some stories had been addressed in court filings, while others had not been raised in a legal forum because they were “simply not true.” He also said the project repeated allegations “without context, evidence, or verification.” These are the spokesperson’s statements quoted in the article, not a court ruling about the series.

Who made the documentary, and what do its participants say?

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, identified as a producer, said in an interview reported by the article: “If I didn’t say anything, you would interpret it as hip-hop is fine with his behaviors. There’s no one else being vocal.”

Burrowes, whose accounts feature in several of the claims above, is quoted in the series as saying: “With Sean, sometimes you’re humiliated. Sometimes you’re made an example of. Sometimes violent things happen to you. Through the years, a lot of bad things happened to good friends.” The quotation is Burrowes’s characterization, reproduced in the article.

Where can you watch Sean Combs: The Reckoning?

The series is listed on Netflix’s official title page. Netflix says viewers can download it for offline viewing; the title’s availability may vary by region.

What the reported evidence does—and does not—show

The article describes a mixture of interviews, an affidavit O’Day said she received, and footage or a recorded police interview included in the series. Those materials can show that a statement was made or that footage was presented; they do not automatically prove the underlying allegation. In particular, the described conversation about a $200 million deposit does not establish a completed deposit or its source, and Davis’s recorded claim does not establish that the alleged offer was made.

The article was published on December 4, 2025. The legal-status statements it attributes to that article are date-bound, and the available reporting here does not establish the current status of all criminal or civil proceedings as of October 2026.
