The Surreal Life’s first season brought seven celebrities together for a 2003 reality-TV experiment. The cast is well documented, but recent public updates are uneven: a 2024 report offers limited notes on Brande Roderick and M.C. Hammer, while the available material does not establish a reliable 2026 update for the other five.
Who was in Season 1 of The Surreal Life?
The first season featured M.C. Hammer, Emmanuel Lewis, Brande Roderick, Corey Feldman, Gabrielle Carteris, Vince Neil and Jerri Manthey. Rotten Tomatoes lists all seven as principal cast members, and Prime Video’s Season 1 listing names the same group. Prime Video dates the opening episode, “A Surreal Beginning,” to January 8, 2003; Rotten Tomatoes describes the season as a January 2003 reality series.

What is known about the cast now?
The most recent update in the sources available here is a July 24, 2024 report excerpt. It makes limited claims about Roderick and Hammer; it does not provide a full, independently verified account of the cast’s current work. For the other five, the dated information below should not be mistaken for a present-day status report.
Brande Roderick
The July 24, 2024 report excerpt says Roderick continued acting and charity work, launched an OnlyFans account and created a business. Because the underlying article was not available to verify the details, these claims are best treated as that report’s account rather than a comprehensive update.

M.C. Hammer
The same 2024 excerpt says Hammer continued his music career, but it does not identify a particular project or establish a more detailed current picture.
Gabrielle Carteris
A TV Insider retrospective published July 27, 2021 noted Carteris’s 2019 appearance in BH90210 and reported that she had been SAG-AFTRA president since 2016. Those are dated milestones, not confirmation of her role or work in 2026.
Corey Feldman, Emmanuel Lewis, Jerri Manthey and Vince Neil
The sources available for this article do not provide enough recent, attributable evidence to describe these four cast members’ present work or personal circumstances. Without current sourcing, assigning them a “where are they now” update would risk presenting outdated or unsupported information as fact.

Prime Video has a Season 1 listing, but it reports that the title is unavailable in the region shown. That listing does not establish availability in other countries or on other services, so check services in your own location rather than assuming the season is currently streaming on Prime Video or elsewhere.
