The available interview does not identify an actor describing a single “biggest moment.” It is a 2025 conversation with The Wheel of Time visual effects supervisor Andy Scrase, who discusses two memorable Season 3 sequences: Aviendha’s fiery One Power spears and Rand’s attempt to bring Alsera back to life.
What Andy Scrase says stood out in Season 3
Asked about the show’s channeling and visual design, Scrase singles out Aviendha’s fight in episode 6: “I did love Aviendha with her One Power spears, when she was fighting in episode 6.” His comment reflects his own enthusiasm, not a claim that the sequence was officially designated the season’s biggest moment.
Scrase also praises the episode’s closing scene, in which Rand reaches for the One Power and tries to revive Alsera. He describes its visual threads as combining different powers and corruption, while conveying Rand’s emotional state. These are the visual effects supervisor’s interpretation of the scene and its effect.
Two very different memorable moments
| Scene | What Scrase emphasizes | Kind of impact |
|---|---|---|
| Aviendha’s episode 6 spear fight | One Power spears and the fiery visual effect | Action and spectacle |
| Rand’s attempt to revive Alsera at the episode’s end | Interwoven powers, corruption, and Rand’s emotional state | A somber, emotionally charged attempt at restoration |
Scrase connects the Alsera sequence to a moment in Robert Jordan’s The Shadow Rising, recalling the episode in which Rand collapses a roof and a girl is killed. That connection is Scrase’s account of the scene’s relationship to the novel; the interview does not establish a definitive ranking of the two television moments.

How the fiery spears were made
Scrase says the spear props had practical orange lights at their ends, which were replaced digitally with fire. He also discusses the challenge of making the One Power visually distinct from the taint and the True Power. Framestore handled the channeling visual-effects work for Season 3, according to the interview.
Scrase estimates that the production involved about 2,600 visual-effects shots in Season 2 and about 2,100, perhaps slightly fewer, in Season 3. Those figures are his estimates in the interview, not independently verified counts.

What the interview can—and cannot—establish
The source is a direct interview with Andy Scrase, the series’ visual effects supervisor, published by La Pierre de Tear on September 14, 2025. It supports his comments about the two Season 3 scenes and their production, but it does not confirm the actor-focused framing in the headline or identify one sequence as the season’s definitive “biggest moment.”
