The Longest Yard (2005) features four performers identified as former WWE superstars: Bill Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Steve Austin, and Great Khali. That is a notable wrestling lineup, but the available sources do not establish that it is the biggest collection of WWE wrestlers in a film.
What is The Longest Yard about?
Directed by Peter Segal, The Longest Yard is a 2005 comedy starring Adam Sandler as Paul “Wrecking” Crewe, a former quarterback sent to prison. The warden orders Crewe to assemble inmates for a warm-up football game against the prison guards. Paramount lists the film as PG-13, with a running time of 114 minutes. Paramount’s film page provides the synopsis and production details.

Which WWE wrestlers appear in the film?
The four performers commonly identified as former WWE superstars are Bill Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Steve Austin, and Great Khali (Dalip Singh). The cast listing names their characters as Battle, Engleheart, Dunham, and Turley, respectively. Rotten Tomatoes’ cast listing includes all four.
Contemporary coverage confirms several of those wrestling connections. In a January 18, 2005 announcement, WWE said Austin had “wrapped a supporting role” in the film; the announcement also described the movie as due for release later that year. A May 2005 Syracuse University Athletics article named Goldberg, Austin, and Nash among wrestling figures involved with the movie.

Does it have the biggest collection of WWE wrestlers in a film?
That record claim is not established by the available evidence. The sources identify four performers, but they do not compare The Longest Yard with other films using a consistent counting method, nor do they cite an authoritative record. The Los Angeles Times described the film’s supporting cast as including athletes from football, wrestling, and basketball, but did not rank its wrestling lineup against other movies. The Los Angeles Times coverage offers context for the casting, not proof of a record.
Why the wording matters
“WWE wrestler” can mean different things: a performer contracted to WWE during filming, a WWE alumnus, or someone who wrestled for another promotion as well. The four names are identified as former WWE superstars in the cast-trivia source; that does not mean all four were active WWE talent when the movie was made. WWE’s contemporary announcement specifically confirms Austin’s supporting role, while the available sources do not establish the same contract status for every performer at the time.
A defensible film-to-film record would need to define whether it counts alumni, wrestlers from other promotions, cameos, uncredited appearances, and unique performers or total appearances. Without those rules and a comparable list of films, “biggest” should be treated as an unverified description, not a fact.
