What Warwick Davis said about Samantha
In the statement published by Lucasfilm, Davis remembered Samantha as his “wife and soul-mate, best friend. Devoted mother, My favourite human. My most trusted confidant and an ardent supporter of everything I did in my career.”
He added: “Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family. I miss her hugs.” The announcement gave her date of death as March 24, 2024, but did not state a cause. Lucasfilm’s announcement was published on April 17.
Who was Samantha Davis?
Samantha Davis founded Little People UK, an organization supporting people with dwarfism and their families. The Guardian reported that she was 53 when she died. She and Warwick met on the set of Willow, married later, and raised two children, Harrison and Annabelle. The Guardian’s report also quoted Warwick describing how her support shaped his work: “Without Sammy, there would have been no Tenable quizshow, no Willow series. No Idiot Abroad series 3.”
