There is no season four.
What the cast said about a fourth season
In an interview published by TechRadar on April 14, 2025, during season three’s run, Daniel Henney said, “We don’t know much,” when asked about renewal, adding that the cast was hopeful. Josha Stradowski, who plays Rand al’Thor, replied: “Yeah, we’re confident [that a fourth season will be greenlit].” The bracketed words clarify the question he was answering.
Stradowski went on to explain his optimism: “When I was reading the book series, it wasn’t until book four [The Shadow Rising, which season three is based on] that I thought ‘Wow, okay, now I understand why so many copies have been sold’. I feel like season three is where we found our form, so we’ve all got our fingers firmly crossed.” The remark described the cast’s expectation at the time; it did not establish that Amazon had renewed the series.
What “found our form” meant to Stradowski
Stradowski used similar wording in a separate interview published ahead of season three. In that conversation with Winter Is Coming, he said the departments were working together and “everyone really stepped up their game,” before adding, “I hope this is the one.” The wording differs from the TechRadar interview, so the two versions are best understood as separate comments rather than one combined quotation.

His explanation was about the production coming together. The interview also discussed the season’s visual approach, including its move to 16:9 widescreen, and the scale of the Prague production facilities and departments. That gives context to his phrase, but it remains his assessment of the work—not an objective measure of the show’s quality or evidence of a renewal.
Season three drew on The Shadow Rising, the fourth novel in Robert Jordan’s series. Stradowski connected reaching that book with understanding the appeal of the saga. The same interview addressed the Rhuidean sequence; Rosamund Pike described its pivotal episode as “the point around which the whole season turns for us.” That was Pike’s description of the production and story, not a claim of critical consensus.

What happened to the renewal hopes
On May 24, 2025, TechRadar reported that Amazon had cancelled the series after three seasons. The report attributed the decision to production costs and declining viewership, citing Deadline, and said the cast and crew would not return for more seasons. It did not provide a verified numerical viewership figure.
The chronology matters: the actors’ comments appeared in April, before season three had finished airing; the cancellation was reported the following month. A Tom’s Guide article published April 15, 2025 reported the same hopeful remarks and noted there had been no official word then. Its suggestion that an announcement could be near was speculation at that point, not a renewal—and it is no longer current.
