The episode is Season 27, Episode 2, released August 7, 2025, according to South Park Studios.
Which South Park episode features Kristi Noem?
The episode is “Got a Nut.” South Park Studios lists it as Season 27, Episode 2, dated August 7, 2025. Its clip page labels the Noem-focused segment “Introducing the Director of Homeland Security” and describes it this way: “Kristi Noem does what’s hard and inspires the new recruits at ICE.” The page also lists “Dora Gets Detained,” a clip about Mr. Mackey going on his first ICE raid.
How the episode satirizes ICE and Noem
The plot connects economic insecurity with immigration enforcement: after losing his school counselor job, Mr. Mackey joins ICE and goes on a raid at a Dora the Explorer live show. The episode exaggerates Noem’s role in the raids as part of its political satire. These events are fictional scenes, not reporting about real operations; the Los Angeles Times episode guide and TVLine recap describe the plot.
What the puppy-shooting joke refers to
A recurring gag in the episode invokes Noem shooting a dog. The reference comes from Noem’s own account in her biography: she wrote about killing the family dog because of behavioral problems, according to the Associated Press. The show’s additional scenes and details are fictional satire, not claims that those events happened.
