Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph returned as Bronx Beat hosts Betty and Jodi, while Mike Myers reprised Coffee Talk’s Linda Richman, in a crossover sketch during Saturday Night Live’s 50th-anniversary special. Miles Teller appears as their interview guest. It was a reunion within the special, not an announcement of a new series.
What happens in the SNL50 sketch
Betty and Jodi begin by interviewing Teller. Linda Richman then joins the conversation, asking, “Is somebody talking about coffee?” Her entrance redirects the interview toward coffee, weather and the familiar comic rhythms of the two sketches. Variety’s recap describes Linda’s weather line: “Bad news, it’s raining. But good news, it’s sweata weatha’.” These are Linda’s lines as performed by Myers, not statements of his personal views. Who returned, and which characters they played
- Amy Poehler reprised Betty, one of the Bronx Beat hosts.
- Maya Rudolph reprised Jodi, Betty’s co-host.
- Mike Myers returned as Linda Richman, the Coffee Talk host. Variety places Coffee Talk in the 1991–1994 period.
- Miles Teller played the interview guest who starts the scene before Linda arrives.
Prime Video’s listing describes Betty and Jodi interviewing Teller and their friend Linda Richman. The scene brings the two comedy sketches together through the Bronx Beat interview format; Mashable’s report republished by Yahoo also describes it as a mashup.
Why the crossover works
Linda’s entrance is the pivot: the interview starts with Teller, then gives way to her particular preoccupation with coffee and her weather riff. That structure lets the scene play both as a Bronx Beat interview and as a return to Linda Richman without requiring a separate setup for Coffee Talk. The pleasure is in watching the familiar characters share a format and respond to one another.

How Myers described making the sketch
In a June 2025 interview with Variety, Myers said: “It was very lovely. Maya, Amy and [writer] Emily Spivey did all the heavy lifting.” The comment credits Poehler, Rudolph and Spivey with carrying much of the sketch’s preparation. Read Variety’s interview with Myers.
Where to find the clip
Prime Video lists the clip as “Bronx Beat – SNL50,” a 2025 comedy video with a listed duration of seven minutes and Poehler, Rudolph, Myers and Teller in the cast. That catalog page currently displays an unavailable notice for its market; availability may differ by region or change over time, so check the listing where you are.
