The biggest surprise at the Love Is Blind Season 8 reunion was an engagement—but not between two Season 8 cast members. AD, from Season 6, and Ollie, from Love Is Blind: UK, announced they were a couple and revealed that Ollie had proposed during a promotional shoot. AD accepted. Netflix Tudum described them as the first people from different editions of the franchise to find love together.
Who got engaged at the Season 8 reunion?
AD and Ollie made the reunion’s new-couple announcement. Their connection crossed editions: AD appeared on the U.S. series’ sixth season, while Ollie appeared on the U.K. edition. They said they met on Perfect Match. During a promotional shoot, Ollie got down on one knee and proposed, and AD said yes. Netflix Tudum’s April 7, 2025 recap reported the reunion reveal and characterized it as the first time singles from different editions of the franchise had found love.

That proposal is distinct from another engagement story involving Season 8 participants Kylie and Brian. They became a couple after meeting in the pods, although they were not chosen for the next stage of the experiment. They continued dating after filming and got engaged off-camera, according to Netflix Tudum’s March 7, 2025 interview. Kylie told Tudum, “Ultimately, we went on Love Is Blind to find love — and we did just that.”

Sara and Ben disagreed about their breakup
Sara said Ben ended their relationship when she moved to Nashville. Ben said he believed they had broken up in their final conversation before the move. Their competing accounts became part of a wider discussion about TikTok drama and trust. The recap does not resolve which account is correct.
Virginia and Devin revisited their differences
Virginia said she had developed an emotional connection with Devin but that they were not aligned on important issues. At the reunion she also said, “I 100% support the LGBTQ community.” TIME’s March 10, 2025 analysis identified political differences as a central issue in their relationship; that is the outlet’s interpretation, rather than a definitive account of every reason the engagement ended.
Rank #2
Joey and Monica described an uncertain aftermath
Joey and Monica differed over how their relationship unfolded after filming, and both described a period of “friend zone” limbo.
Madison produced text messages in a tense confrontation
During a confrontation with Alex and others involved in their pod love square, Madison pulled text-message receipts from her armpit. It was a striking reunion moment, but the reported scene alone is not grounds to treat the texts as proof of any claim beyond what the episode established.

Nick and Vanessa Lachey shared fan-voted top moments from the show’s history. Of the five moments revealed, Jessica’s breakup speech to Jimmy ranked first, according to Netflix Tudum’s recap. The ranking reflects the show’s fan vote, not an independent measure of audience opinion.

The reunion’s engagement reveal involved alumni from other editions, not a newly engaged Season 8 couple. In its December 4, 2025 status update, Netflix Tudum reported that five couples got engaged on camera during Season 8 and that Taylor and Daniel were the only pair to marry. TIME’s March 10, 2025 analysis likewise reported that one of the five engaged couples said “I do.” These are season-specific counts reported by those outlets, not statistics about the experiment’s general success rate.
The hosts also announced at the reunion that the next season would be set in Denver, Colorado. That was a forward-looking announcement at the time, rather than a current update on the series.
