Spoiler note: This article sticks to Paramount’s official season 2 synopsis and episode descriptions available as of October 7, 2026. They tease secrets and confessions, but do not identify one definitive secret that threatens the Harrigans’ empire.
What is the Harrigan family secret in MobLand season 2?
Paramount has not confirmed a single, season-wide “Harrigan family secret” as the cause of the crime empire’s possible collapse. Its official episode descriptions instead point to several developments: Jan makes a “startling confession” in episode 1, tells Harry a hard truth in episode 2, and Maeve probes Conrad for secrets in episode 3. Those descriptions establish a trail of revelations and suspicion, not the identity or consequences of one definitive secret.

That distinction matters: the episode guide offers teasers, not a complete account of what happens on screen. The official season 2 trailer and episode guide does not say that Jan’s confession, Maeve’s inquiries, or any other specific revelation is the secret that will bring down the family.
Why could secrets threaten the Harrigan empire?
The confirmed season premise already puts the family under pressure from two directions. Paramount says the Harrigans struggle to present a united front as rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire, while internal tensions intensify. A revelation could deepen those divisions or complicate the family’s response to outside threats, but the official material does not establish a particular consequence for any confession or secret.

Internal conflict
Conrad and Maeve are the family’s heads, and their relationship to the power struggle is central to the official character material. The episode descriptions show Maeve making plans and probing Conrad, while the season premise describes a family struggling to stay unified. These are signs of instability, not confirmation of a specific betrayal or succession outcome.
Pressure from rivals
Outside rivals are an explicit part of the season 2 premise. The potential danger is that a divided family may be less able to meet that pressure; that is a reasonable reading of the setup, not a confirmed plot result.
Where Harry fits in the family’s crisis
Harry Da Souza, played by Tom Hardy, is the Harrigans’ fixer. Paramount describes his loyalties as increasingly complicated and says he must navigate intensifying family tensions. Episode 1 has him handling fallout after Jan’s confession, while episode 2 has Jan telling him a hard truth. The official descriptions place him close to the consequences, but do not reveal how he will respond or which side he will take.
