What was alleged after Victoria Goodwin’s arrest?
Initial reports described allegations drawn from a police arrest report, not findings established at that point in the case. The Los Angeles Times, summarizing that report, said investigators alleged Victoria had communicated with Florida inmate Grant Amato about getting out of her marriage, set aside $11,515, and shared information about Aaron’s whereabouts while he was filming in California.
The report also said Victoria told police she had fantasized about killing her husband and did not remember sending the messages. These details were reported as police-account allegations; they should not be mistaken for independently verified facts in the initial coverage. Victoria was arrested on suspicion of solicitation and conspiracy to commit murder.

What was the outcome of the criminal case?
Victoria Goodwin pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder in April 2025. As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors dropped the solicitation charge. On June 5, 2025, a judge sentenced her to a minimum of three years and a maximum of seven-and-a-half years in prison, Courthouse News reported.
At the sentencing hearing, Aaron told the judge, “I can’t trust anything anymore.” Courthouse News reported Victoria telling Judge Nadia Krall, “This is my rock bottom.”
