What does Victor remember about Jasper and the children?
Victor revisits his memories of Jasper and recovers a crucial detail: the voice he associated with the doll was the Boy in White. His memory reframes what he heard as a child and connects it to the story behind the bodies on the stones.
In Victor’s recollection, the children were born in darkness and murdered in darkness. Their bodies on the stones are connected to the vines, the symbol that has haunted Jade, and the faraway tree. This is a major revelation, but it arrives through Victor’s recovered memory rather than as a complete explanation of the town’s supernatural system.

Victor also remembers telling his mother what he overheard. He realizes she went looking for the children afterward, linking that childhood conversation to her disappearance. The episode gives the memory emotional weight without answering every question about what happened to her.
What do Julie and Ethan find in the woods?
Julie and Ethan investigate the stone ruins, searching for answers about the mysterious place. Their scenes add another thread to the episode’s interest in how time, memory, and location may connect. The ruins remain unexplained in “Thresholds”; the search raises questions rather than resolving their purpose. (Rotten Tomatoes episode listing)

How does the episode end for Fatima?
Elgin’s visions and photographs continue to intersect with Fatima’s worsening situation. At the end of the episode, he takes her to a hidden cellar space, leaving her isolated and setting up the next episode’s conflict. It is a cliffhanger, not a resolution: “Thresholds” does not reveal the outcome of Fatima’s situation.
What “Thresholds” reveals—and what it leaves open
The episode’s clearest new information is Victor’s recollection connecting the children, the stones, the vines, Jade’s symbol, and the faraway tree. It also identifies the voice Victor associated with Jasper as the Boy in White. AIPT separately highlights a time-bending reveal in which Julie is the one who throws Boyd the rope. (AIPT review)
