Sara plays Sarah Krantz in the Mike Flanagan film, a role she said she accepted because of the director.
What brought Mia Sara back to a film set?
Sara told ABC News that she and her husband had been fans of Mike Flanagan and had met him and his wife, actor Kate Siegel, socially. Flanagan asked whether she wanted to work again and offered her a part. Sara recalled agreeing if he offered her something.
Her reason was direct: “Honestly, it really was all about Mike. If Mike needs me, I’ll be there,” she told People, as quoted by ABC News. In an Entertainment Weekly interview, she described returning to the spotlight as “a little daunting,” while also saying, “But I’m very grateful! It’s unexpected.”
Who does she play in The Life of Chuck?
Sara plays Sarah Krantz, the grandmother of Charles “Chuck” Krantz. The story, based on a Stephen King novella, unfolds in reverse chronological order, according to ABC News. The Independent reports that Mark Hamill plays Albie, Sarah’s husband.
