Adame had a separate prior conviction tied to the 2019 death of Karissa Rajpaul, who died after silicone injections. The Los Angeles Times reported that Adame was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Rajpaul’s death, received three years in state prison and was released for time served. That was a different case from Santangelo’s death and the second-degree murder conviction that led to the 2025 sentence.
