Trina McGee, the actor who played Angela Moore on Boy Meets World, announced in June 2024 that she was pregnant at 54. In an interview on The Tamron Hall Show that aired September 23, she revealed that she had miscarried near the end of her first trimester. She said the loss was unexpected and that she and her family did not know why it happened.
What McGee said about the loss
McGee said, “I did lose the baby,” during her Tamron Hall interview. She described the miscarriage as unexpected and said, “It was closer to the end of the first trimester. We really don’t have any real reasons why.” The Los Angeles Times and ABC News reported her comments from the interview.

She also spoke about the emotional aftermath, describing depression and difficulty getting out of bed. Those are her descriptions of her own experience, not a reported clinical diagnosis. McGee said she was unsure whether she wanted to try to conceive again.
How the pregnancy announcement and disclosure unfolded
McGee announced her pregnancy in June 2024, at age 54. The later disclosure came in the September 23, 2024, episode of The Tamron Hall Show; ABC News reported it that day, and the Los Angeles Times published its report on September 24. The pregnancy she announced would have been her first child with husband Marcello Thedford. She has three adult children from previous relationships, according to the September reports.

What is known—and not known—about the cause
McGee said she and her family did not know why the miscarriage occurred. The reporting does not identify a cause, and it does not provide a basis for explaining this individual loss by her age or estimating her personal medical risk. Her statement that she was grateful to have conceived at that age reflects her own feelings about the experience; it is not a medical conclusion.

In June, McGee discussed trying natural remedies and seeking help in Belize while trying to become pregnant. That account is personal, not evidence that the remedies caused conception, reversed menopause, or could prevent miscarriage. Good Morning America reported that there was no medical data supporting natural remedies as a way to increase the chance of pregnancy after age 45. Nothing in McGee’s later disclosure establishes that a remedy could have changed the outcome.
