Raymond Cruz, who played Tuco Salamanca on Breaking Bad, was arrested in September 2025 after three women accused him of intentionally spraying them with water during a dispute near his Silver Lake home. On October 1, 2025, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office declined to file criminal charges. The office did not give a reason, and the decision does not establish which account of the encounter was correct.
What happened in the reported dispute?
The encounter took place while Cruz was washing his car in the Silver Lake area. Reporting described a dispute involving a nearby parked car and three women. The women alleged that Cruz intentionally sprayed them with water. Cruz’s agent, Raphael Berko, gave a different account: he said some water may have splashed accidentally as Cruz turned to ask the women to stop recording. The accounts are allegations and an agent’s description, not a finding about what happened. The Los Angeles Times reported both accounts.
What happened after Cruz was arrested?
Cruz was held in custody for five hours, according to the Los Angeles Times. A local report said he was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor battery and released on his own recognizance. An arrest and booking describe law-enforcement actions; they are not findings of guilt. MyNewsLA’s October 1 report also identified Cruz as 60.
Why will Raymond Cruz not be charged?
On October 1, 2025, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office declined to file criminal charges, according to the Los Angeles Times and MyNewsLA. The Times reported that the office did not provide a reason. The available reporting therefore does not explain why prosecutors declined the case, and the decision should not be read as a determination that either account of the dispute was true.

What does the ‘Breaking Bad’ connection mean?
Cruz played Tuco Salamanca on Breaking Bad. That role explains the headline’s reference to the series; it has no bearing on the allegation or the decision not to file charges.
