Morgan Pope wanted to ask Big Brother season 27 winner Ashley Hollis why she chose to evict Pope instead of Vince Panaro. Pope never put that question to Hollis onstage: she says she first addressed Vince, giving him a chance to explain the strongest parts of his game.
What Morgan Pope wanted to ask Ashley Hollis
In a post-finale interview with Dalton Ross for Entertainment Weekly, published September 29, 2025, and reproduced by AOL, Pope said she was curious about Hollis’s reasoning for taking her out rather than keeping her for the final two.
“I was also very curious about why Ashley thought that taking me out was going to be one of the moves for her game,” Pope told Ross. She wanted Hollis to explain “why me over Vince, you know?” The question reflected Pope’s interest in Hollis’s decision, even though Pope said she understood why that choice made strategic sense from Hollis’s position.
Why Pope expected Hollis might take her
Pope said the previous week had left her thinking Hollis might choose her because Hollis had said she would want to lose to someone deserving of the money. But after Hollis won the final Head of Household competition, Pope expected to be evicted and understood that Hollis could see her as the stronger opponent to remove.

Hollis chose Panaro for the final two, leaving Pope in third place. Pope later said she believed she would have beaten Hollis in a final two. That is Pope’s assessment of a matchup that never happened, not a jury result: the actual finalists were Hollis and Panaro.
What Pope did instead in the jury moment
Pope said she had planned to question Vince first. Her curiosity about Hollis’s choice was part of her back-and-forth over what to ask, but she ultimately prompted Vince to talk about the strongest parts of his game. The question she wanted Hollis to answer remained unasked.
The interview does not establish that Pope’s exchange with Vince changed how jurors voted. It describes Pope’s thought process and the conversation she chose to have, not a causal explanation of the final vote.

Ross’s interview reports that Hollis won the season and the $750,000 prize, defeating Panaro by a 6–1 jury vote. It also reports that Pope had two Head of Household wins and five Veto wins during the season. These figures are presented in the interview’s finale context.
