ARD’s trailer entry is dated May 7, 2026; that is the date of the current page record, not the season’s original premiere. Watch the official ARD trailer and see the Season 4 synopsis.
Where can you watch Season 4 now?
The June 2024 MHz Choice announcement establishes the U.S. premiere reported at that time, not the service’s present-day catalog. It does not confirm current availability. Check the service’s current listing for your location before subscribing or planning a watch.

ARD’s later availability announcements concern Germany, not the U.S. ARD said Season 5 became available in the ARD Mediathek on September 10, 2026, and listed German linear broadcasts for September 19 and 25, 2026. Those dates do not establish where Season 4 is currently streaming in other territories. See ARD’s Season 5 availability announcement.

Season 4 is not the series’ final chapter. In June 2024, ARD announced that Season 5 would be the show’s last. Its scripts were based on Volker Kutscher’s novel Märzgefallene, and the story reaches February 1933. ARD also reported 23 million ARD Mediathek views for Season 4 and 94 million views for the first four seasons combined in 2024. These are platform view counts attributed to ARD Mediathek channel manager Sophie Burkhardt, not counts of unique viewers. Read ARD’s announcement of the final season.
