Which other Emmys did Andor win in 2025?
Four of the series’ five wins recognized craft work:
- Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes
- Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program (One Hour or More)
- Outstanding Picture Editing for a Drama Series
- Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Season or a Movie
The writing award and four craft awards show where the series converted its 2025 nominations into wins. They do not, by themselves, establish which acting performance deserved recognition or explain how voters assessed the acting categories.

Who was the biggest Emmy snub?
There is no official Emmy ranking of snubs. The clearest omission identified in the available reporting is Diego Luna, who was not nominated for lead actor in a drama series. The Associated Press described his absence as surprising in its July 15, 2025 nominations coverage. That supports calling Luna’s omission a notable debate; it does not prove that it was the biggest snub.
The Collider headline also framed the story around a snub, and its original link slug points to Genevieve O’Reilly. The accessible headline page and slug indicate the likely focus, but do not establish the full argument or details of her case. It would be misleading to present that framing as a verified explanation of the article’s reasoning or as an Academy finding.

Why Luna’s omission stands out
Luna was the lead performer at the center of Andor, while the Academy’s 2025 recognition for the series included two acting nominations in other categories: Forest Whitaker for guest actor and Alan Tudyk for character voice-over. StarWars.com’s nomination announcement records those acting nods alongside the show’s nominations in writing, direction, and technical categories. The contrast makes Luna’s absence from the lead-actor field conspicuous, but comparing performances and nominees remains an editorial judgment.
How to judge a “biggest snub” claim
A fair comparison needs more than a headline. It should distinguish the performer’s role and prominence, the specific Emmy category and its nominees, the support for the performance claim, and the contrast between Andor’s craft recognition and its acting nominations. The sources establish Luna’s omission and Andor’s award record; they do not provide an objective ranking or enough detail to settle O’Reilly’s case against Luna’s.

How many Emmy nominations has Andor received overall?
Keep the 2025 campaign separate from the show’s cumulative record. StarWars.com reported 14 nominations and five wins for the 2025 campaign. The Television Academy’s current Andor record lists 22 nominations and five wins across the seasons displayed, as accessed in 2026. Those are different totals with different scopes, not conflicting counts.

After the nominations were announced in July 2025, series creator and executive producer Tony Gilroy told StarWars.com: “I really view all these awards as community property on this show.” The remark was made in the context of the nomination announcement, not as a reaction to the eventual wins.
