PLEDIS announced a Korean release for April 29, 2024; the Japanese official discography lists April 30 as the delivery and general-store date in Japan. The release is sometimes described as a double album, but the official Japanese listing calls it a best album.
When did SEVENTEEN release 17 IS RIGHT HERE?
PLEDIS Entertainment announced that the album would be released at 6 p.m. KST on Monday, April 29, 2024, with preorders beginning April 1. The Japanese official discography lists April 30, 2024, as the delivery and general-store arrival date for Japan. These dates refer to different market listings, not a contradiction in the release schedule.
Yonhap News Agency reported on April 2, 2024, that the compilation was planned as a chronicle of SEVENTEEN’s career since its 2015 debut. The announcement-era description covers lead tracks from the group’s Korean and Japanese albums.
Is 17 IS RIGHT HERE a double album?
It has two discs, but its structure is best understood as a best album with two complementary sections. CD1 combines four new songs with Korean-language versions of Japanese singles. CD2 is a retrospective of Korean title tracks. The official Japanese track listing names 12 tracks on CD1 and 20 on CD2, for 32 listed disc tracks in total; it separately identifies “Adore U (Inst.)” as digital-only. That instrumental is not part of the two-disc count.

DEAR is a lower-priced, randomized member-version package. What did reviewers say about the new songs?
In its April 29, 2024, review, Associated Press reviewer Cristina Jaleru characterized the album as showing the group’s evolution. Her descriptions of the sounds of “MAESTRO,” “LALALI,” “Spell” and “Cheers to youth” are critical judgments, rather than objective product specifications. The tracklist and packaging details above are established by the official Japanese discography.
