Camila Mendes says Nicholas Galitzine’s He-Man stands out for his sense of humor—but she held back further explanation because, she said, it would reveal a major plot point.
What Camila Mendes said about Galitzine’s He-Man
Mendes, who plays Teela opposite Galitzine’s He-Man in the live-action Masters of the Universe, was asked what makes his performance unique. She answered:
“I feel like if I were to tell you that, it would completely give away a huge plot point, but I think it’d be his sense of humor. He’s very funny, very talented, and very funny.”
Her answer points to humor as a distinctive element of Galitzine’s take on the character. Mendes did not explain how that quality connects to the plot, so the comment does not establish what the hidden plot point is.

Where the comment came from
Reports place Mendes’s remarks in an interview during her Idiotka promotion at SXSW in March 2025. One report credits Collider’s Perri Nemiroff with the original interview. Mendes also spoke positively about joining the project and playing Teela; those are her views, not an independent assessment of the finished film.
What the remark does—and does not—confirm
This is Mendes’s description of her co-star’s performance, not a review of the film or an independently verified account of how Galitzine plays He-Man. The reports reviewed here do not establish the film’s current release status. A March 2025 report listed June 5, 2026 as its planned cinema release date at that time; that date has passed, and the historical listing alone does not confirm whether the film has since been released or rescheduled.
