Queen Latifah and Ciara’s Coachella songs
The surprise appearances gave Megan’s Weekend One set a generational hip-hop and R&B connection. Queen Latifah performed “Plan B” with Megan before the two joined for Latifah’s “U.N.I.T.Y.” Rolling Stone and Revolt reported the “Plan B” pairing, while the Recording Academy recap also confirmed Latifah’s appearance on “U.N.I.T.Y.” (Rolling Stone; Revolt; Recording Academy.)

Ciara joined later for a medley that paired Megan’s “Roc Steady” with Ciara’s “Goodies.” Rolling Stone reported an emotional hug between the performers, and quoted Ciara telling Megan, “I love you Meg and I’m so proud of you!” (Rolling Stone.)
How the guest appearances fit into the set
Megan opened with “Ungrateful” and “Thot Shit,” accompanied by dancers in leather jackets and cowboy hats. Rolling Stone described her entering in a fur coat, which she removed to reveal a leather two-piece outfit. (Rolling Stone.)

Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox appeared earlier in the set for “TYG.” Latifah came on midway through, followed by Victoria Monét, who performed “Spin” and “On My Mama” with Megan. Ciara appeared toward the end for the “Roc Steady” and “Goodies” medley. The guest lineup therefore extended beyond the two artists named in the headline. (Revolt; Recording Academy.)

Reports described microphone trouble during the show. Rolling Stone said Megan tried to get a wire issue fixed, calling out, “Somebody come out here and fix my motherfucking mic!” The problem was addressed, but another audio issue arose as “Mamushi” began. (Rolling Stone.)
Rolling Stone and Revolt reported that the microphone cut off as Megan was closing with “Mamushi.” They connected the rushed finish to the festival’s time limit or Megan going over her allotted slot, but neither report included an official festival statement establishing the precise cause. Rolling Stone quoted Megan telling the crowd, “Don’t do the hotties like that,” and then, “Hotties, I gotta go — I love y’all and thank y’all!” (Rolling Stone; Revolt.)
