Pentatonix appears as itself
The real a cappella group Pentatonix appears in the film as part of the concert at the center of Layla’s search. Its on-screen members are:
- Mitch Grassi
- Scott Hoying
- Kirstin Maldonado
- Kevin Olusola
- Matt Sallee
They play themselves rather than fictional characters. Hoying told Tudum that the group could adapt some dialogue to its familiar dynamic: “We got to play with the lines and apply them to our natural humor that we have together in everyday life.”
