No park rename has been announced for 2026. Six Flags’ official transition FAQ says the seven parks changing ownership or operators will keep their current names through the 2026 season, while EPR Properties has the right to use the Six Flags brand through the end of the year. Enchanted Parks trademark filings show branding activity, but they do not prove that a park will be renamed.
What the trademark documents do—and do not—show
A trademark filing identifies a mark and the goods or services its applicant seeks to protect. By itself, it does not establish that a park has changed hands, that a new name will be used, or when a product or rebrand will launch.
One cited filing is for ENCHANTED PARKS WATER’S EDGE INN, submitted by Enchanted Parks Holdings, LLC. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s May 13, 2026 nonfinal office action says the application covers resort lodging and hotel accommodation services. It records a likelihood-of-confusion refusal under Section 2(d) and requires a disclaimer; it is not a registration. Because the application concerns lodging services, it is especially weak evidence of a Six Flags park rename. Read the USPTO office action.
A secondary trademark record says Enchanted Parks Holdings filed an ENCHANTED PARKS application on January 9, 2026, on an intent-to-use basis, for clothing and headwear. That indicates an application in those categories, not a confirmed registration or an apparel launch. See the secondary trademark record.

Which parks changed ownership or operators?
Six Flags announced that the sale of six U.S. parks to EPR Properties closed on April 6, 2026. EPR said it would partner with Enchanted Parks to operate those six parks. Six Flags’ transition FAQ lists seven parks in the overall transition because La Ronde is also included, with a different operator.

The distinction matters: the six-park sale announcement describes the U.S. transaction, while the official FAQ covers all seven parks in the transition. Six Flags’ sale-closing announcement and Six Flags’ transition FAQ give the respective details.

Will the parks keep their Six Flags names in 2026?
Yes. Six Flags’ official transition FAQ says, “There will be no change to park names this year,” and states that EPR retains the right to use the Six Flags brand through the end of 2026. The answer is limited to the 2026 period; the FAQ does not establish what each park will be called afterward.
Enchanted Parks has described its approach as continuity, targeted enhancements and investment. CEO James Harhi said the company’s responsibility is “to operate them safely, keep them clean and welcoming, and ensure they continue to deliver the fun experiences guests expect.” That is the company’s stated intent, not a guarantee about specific future names, projects or operating decisions. Will a 2026 pass or membership still work?
Six Flags says the parks will continue normal operations through the 2026 season and that qualifying 2026 passes purchased before the sale, along with active memberships, remain valid through that season. Admission validity is not the same as every add-on or benefit: check the relevant park’s current guidance for dining plans, Fast Lane, photo products and drink plans, which may follow different policies. What changes have actually been announced?
There is at least one concrete investment announcement, separate from the trademark filings. Valleyfair announced 13 new Superior Shores Waterpark slides and attractions, scheduled to open May 23, 2026. The announcement was dated April 28, 2026; it establishes the park’s announced schedule, not independent confirmation of the opening or current operating status. What happens after 2026?
The reviewed official transition information establishes the Six Flags brand-use arrangement through the end of 2026, but does not name all seven parks’ post-2026 brands or set a rebranding timetable. The trademark records do not fill that gap. Until an operator or park makes a specific announcement, future names, launch dates, closures and ride removals should be treated as unconfirmed.
