Adventure Time: Finn and Jake’s Epic Quest is a single-player Windows action-adventure released in 2014. Its official pitch is a rescue quest through familiar corners of Ooo, with 28 levels and tag-team combat. Steam now marks it unavailable for sale, so this overview can explain what the game offers—but cannot recommend buying it there or claim that it is currently sold elsewhere.
What is Finn and Jake’s Epic Quest?
Developed by NGD Studios and published by Cartoon Network Games, the game launched on Windows PC on April 11, 2014. Steam classifies it as both an action and adventure game, and lists single-player play, Steam Achievements, and Family Sharing. Its English-language listing includes interface text, full audio, and subtitles. Official Steam listing
The premise comes from the publisher: the Land of Ooo has been transformed into a giant video game, and Finn and Jake set out to rescue BMO. The advertised journey includes the Witch’s garden, the Ice Kingdom, the Fire Kingdom, and the Land of the Dead. Those details describe the setup and destinations, not how distinctive or satisfying they are to play.
What does the game advertise about its gameplay?
Cartoon Network Games lists 28 levels, four bosses, enemies from the show, secret spells, and a new story with original voice work for Finn and Jake. Combat is built around the duo: Finn unlocks swords, while Jake gains stretchy attacks, allowing them to fight as a tag team. The Steam page also lists 12 achievements.
#1 Best Overall
- Five playable 'episodes' tied together by a mysterious common theme and rousing epilogue
- Innovative gameplay by exploration - solve puzzles using logic and humor
- Players 'live' in each episodes of the show and have full character movement within each location
Those features give Adventure Time fans recognizable characters, settings, and abilities to look forward to. But the official materials do not establish how responsive the combat feels, how much the levels vary, whether objectives are easy to follow, or how well the two characters’ abilities work together in practice. Without documented hands-on play, those are open questions—not grounds for a quality verdict.
Is it still available on Steam?
No. Steam’s store page currently marks Finn and Jake’s Epic Quest as unavailable and displays Cartoon Network Games’ notice that sales would end after December 23, 2024. This confirms the title’s Steam status; it does not establish whether an authorized seller elsewhere currently has it. Check a seller’s legitimacy and current listing directly rather than assuming the game is available from another source.

What are the PC requirements?
Steam lists these historical minimum requirements for the game: Steam store listing and Steam Support.
| Component | Listed minimum |
|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows XP, Vista, or 7 |
| Processor | Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon X2 |
| Memory | 2 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GT240 or ATI Radeon 4850 |
| Storage | 5 GB available space |
These are the game’s listed minimums, not a guarantee that it will work on a present-day PC or through the current Steam client. Steam separately says its client supports Windows 10 and later beginning January 1, 2024. The older game operating-system list should not be read as evidence that the current client runs on Windows XP, Vista, or 7.

What do Steam’s reviews and patch history tell us?
When accessed on October 7, 2026, Steam showed 507 user reviews, with 73% positive. That is a changing snapshot of platform reviews, not a representative study or an independent assessment of the game.
A Steam announcement for Build 243200, dated April 25, 2014, records fixes for freezing associated with the Enchiridion and Tree Witch, camera behavior during Hug Wolf attacks, combo controls, Hug Wolf attack timing, food pickups that could not be reached in the Death boss battle, and a save issue. These historical fixes show what that update addressed; they do not establish performance on modern systems.

Who might be interested?
The game’s stated premise and cast make it most relevant to players seeking a Finn-and-Jake adventure, particularly fans curious about the characters’ original voiced story and a quest through named Ooo locations. The advertised level count and combat abilities offer a clearer outline of its scope than of its moment-to-moment quality. With no documented hands-on assessment here, prospective players should treat claims about responsiveness, pacing, variety, and navigation as unverified.
