Disney’s live-action musical Snow White earned $5,940,821 in its third U.S. weekend, April 4–6, 2025, a 59% drop from the weekend before. Its cumulative domestic gross stood at $77,316,291, according to The Numbers. The film had opened wide on March 21 amid negative reviews, but contemporaneous audience and critic measures did not tell the same story.
How much did Snow White earn in its first three weekends?
The Numbers’ domestic weekend chart shows a steep week-to-week decline, though the film continued to add to its U.S. total through its third weekend.

The third weekend ranked fourth at the U.S. box office. These figures are domestic weekend grosses from The Numbers’ film page; they should not be confused with opening estimates covering both the United States and Canada.
How did the opening compare with expectations?
On March 23, 2025, the Associated Press reported an estimated $43 million opening across U.S. and Canadian theaters. That contemporaneous estimate is a different scope and measure from The Numbers’ $42,206,415 domestic opening-weekend chart figure.

Expectations varied by report. The AP described a pre-release estimate range of $45 million to $55 million, while Rotten Tomatoes Editorial said tracking had anticipated an opening above $50 million. Those projections and the AP’s post-release estimate are not directly interchangeable with The Numbers’ domestic chart total. The AP’s March 23 report and Rotten Tomatoes Editorial’s weekend report provide those contemporaneous figures.
What did critics and audiences think?
Negative reviews are a fair description of the film’s critical reception at release, but they do not establish why its box-office receipts fell. In its March 23 report, the AP described reviews as poor and cited a Rotten Tomatoes freshness score of 43% at that time. That is a dated snapshot, not a fixed current score.

Rotten Tomatoes’ listed critics’ consensus praised Rachel Zegler’s performance while criticizing the adaptation’s treatment of its source material and some stylistic choices. Separately, the AP reported a B+ CinemaScore from moviegoers. The two measures capture different responses: the Rotten Tomatoes figure summarized critics’ reviews, while CinemaScore reflected audience feedback reported at the time. Directed by Marc Webb and starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, Disney’s film is a live-action musical reimagining of the 1937 Snow White. The Numbers lists a PG rating, a 109-minute runtime, and a May 13, 2025 video release by Walt Disney Home Entertainment. Its page also lists a $269.4 million production budget; that is a database figure, not a production-cost statement verified here by Disney.
