This is an editorial ranking: the strongest picks identify a wrestler quickly, fit the character, build into a memorable musical moment, invite a crowd response, or became attached to a defining AEW scene. On that basis, Chris Jericho’s “Judas” takes the top spot for turning an entrance into a collective singalong—but several very different themes make a compelling case.
How this ranking weighs the themes
A wrestling theme is more than walk-on music: it can tell viewers who is coming before they see the wrestler. AEW music producer Mikey Rukus described his role as creating “a multifaceted audio experience” connected to performers’ characters and the stories behind them, in AEW’s announcement of Who We Are: A Celebration of Excellence, Vol. 1 (AEW, 2022).
The ranking considers five things: how quickly a theme identifies its wrestler; how well its sound suits the character; its hook and musical build; the potential for crowd participation; and its association with an important AEW moment. Crowd response here is qualitative reporting, not a measured poll, and “best” remains a matter of taste.
The best AEW entrance themes
1. Chris Jericho — “Judas” by Fozzy
“Judas” is the clearest example of an entrance becoming a shared performance. Wrestling Inc. describes fans singing along in arenas and continuing after the track stops; that vivid crowd connection gives Jericho the strongest overall case in this ranking. The song also feels inseparable from his AEW persona: the familiar chorus does character work before he reaches the ring. The singalong is an editorial observation, not a claim that every crowd responds the same way (Wrestling Inc., October 5, 2022).

2. Jon Moxley — X’s cover of “Wild Thing”
The opening guitar cue is immediate, and the song’s raw, unruly energy suits Moxley’s approach. Its impact is inseparable from the presentation: Moxley walking through the crowd as fans sing turns the trip to the ring into part of the entrance itself. Wrestling Inc. highlights that combination of cue, character fit and audience participation (Wrestling Inc., October 5, 2022).
3. Kenny Omega — “Battle Cry”
“Battle Cry” earns its place through its build. The gradual rise into a harder-rocking section gives Omega’s entrance a sense of scale, while the song’s intensity matches a wrestler presented as a major, larger-than-life competitor. Wrestling Inc. points to both the arrangement and its thematic fit (Wrestling Inc., October 5, 2022). AEW’s Omega roster profile provides career context, but does not establish details about the theme.

4. CM Punk — “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour
That opening riff is an instant recognition signal. Wrestling Inc. emphasizes how it framed Punk’s AEW debut, making this pick as much about the moment and the song’s established association with him as about its sound in isolation. The riff’s familiarity is the entrance’s advantage: the audience knows who is coming before he appears (Wrestling Inc., October 5, 2022).
5. Adam Cole — “All About the Boom”
Cole’s theme makes its hook interactive. The “boom” cue gives the crowd a simple, well-timed response, linking the music to his signature move and turning a single word into part of the entrance. Wrestling Inc. connects that call-and-response to the song and Cole’s presentation (Wrestling Inc., October 5, 2022).

6. Orange Cassidy — “Where Is My Mind?” by Pixies
The Pixies’ dreamy, off-kilter track offered a striking contrast to the usual high-impact entrance sound and suited Cassidy’s deliberately unhurried persona. Pitchfork reported on March 25, 2021, that it was his new AEW entrance theme at that time. Tony Khan told the outlet he had signed a multiyear agreement and that uses in AEW content would remain in the company’s library; that is a reported 2021 arrangement, not confirmation of the song’s present assignment or current license terms (Pitchfork, March 25, 2021).
7. Ruby Soho — “Ruby Soho” by Rancid
A wrestler walking out to a song that shares her name makes for unusually direct character shorthand. The connection became especially memorable when Rancid performed live at Double or Nothing 2022, a moment Wrestling Inc. cites in discussing Soho’s entrance. That makes this a notable historical pairing, rather than evidence that the song remains her current theme (Wrestling Inc., October 5, 2022).

8. Hook — “The Chairman’s Intent” by Action Bronson
Hook’s choice stands out for its personal origin as well as its sound. Pitchfork reported that Hook wanted Action Bronson’s track and quoted Bronson saying Taz contacted him about using it. The report documents the song’s choice and debut, not whether it remains Hook’s theme today (Pitchfork, 2021).

These picks make an argued shortlist, not an exhaustive history or a result drawn from a representative audience poll. Wrestling Inc.’s October 2022 ranking is one editorial account, while the Orange Cassidy and Hook reports document particular song assignments in 2021. The cited sources do not establish a complete AEW theme archive or verify every current assignment.
