News reports put the general union-scale rate for halftime artists at about or more than $1,000 per day, but that is an attributed estimate—not a confirmed paycheck or total for any named performer.
What is known about performers’ pay
CBS News reported that Super Bowl halftime artists receive union scale, estimating it at about $1,000 a day under the then-current SAG-AFTRA contract. TIME described the rate as more than $1,000 a day. Neither report gives an individual contract amount, the number of paid days, or a verified total for Bad Bunny. The same limitation applies to Green Day and the other performers.
Those daily estimates should not be multiplied by assumed rehearsal or work days to produce a supposed total: the sources do not disclose how many days any artist worked or the terms of individual agreements. They also do not establish who negotiated a different fee or whether any artist received additional compensation.
Who performed at Super Bowl LX
Super Bowl LX took place on February 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Bad Bunny headlined the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, announced by the NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation. The NFL announcement included Bad Bunny’s words: “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history.” NFL announcement

Halftime artist pay is not the same as dancer pay
SAG-AFTRA’s 2025 Network Television Code runs from July 1, 2025, through August 30, 2028; its first general wage increase took effect July 6, 2025. The union says halftime-show dancers are paid in the same manner as dancers on awards programs longer than 60 minutes, resulting in a substantial increase in minimum compensation. That dancer-specific change is not a rate for Bad Bunny, Green Day, or the pregame singers. SAG-AFTRA contract summary

CBS News reported that the NFL typically covers artists’ expenses, which can run into the millions of dollars. TIME reported that the league covers show production costs, attributing that statement to NFL communications vice president Brian McCarthy. These costs describe expenses for staging the show; they are not evidence that the performers personally received millions. CBS News report TIME report

What the available figures do—and do not—show
- News reports describe a general halftime artist union-scale estimate of about or more than $1,000 per day.
- No reviewed source disclosed an individual contract, negotiated fee, total paid days, or verified net amount for any named performer.
- The dancer compensation change is specific to halftime dancers and should not be substituted for the headline artist’s or pregame singers’ pay.
- Expenses covered by the NFL and personal compensation are different categories; show costs do not reveal an artist’s earnings.
