The film is presented as advocacy-oriented: its screening model is intended to bring people together to discuss the issues and build collective support, rather than to offer a neutral survey of policy options. At a Minneapolis screening in June 2026, executive producer and Moms First founder Reshma Saujani told The Guardian: “And so I think that the only way to beat back the culture wars is to get moms to come together.”
Can you stream the film at home?
As of October 7, 2026, the official Moms First FAQ says No Country for Mothers is not on YouTube or a public streaming service for individual viewing. Its current distribution model is private screening links for scheduled community screenings and watch parties. This describes the availability stated on the official page at that time; it is not a guarantee that the policy will never change.

Moms First says a host receives a private screening link by email after creating an event and registering guests. The FAQ recommends at least five registered guests. If you want to preview the film before organizing a larger event, the page says you can arrange a small private event; its location does not have to be public.
How to host a screening
- Start with the official Moms First screening page. Create an event and follow the current instructions for registering guests and receiving the private link. For a small preview, the official FAQ describes arranging a private event; a separate event can be created for a larger audience.
- Choose the viewing format. For an in-person gathering, use a TV or projector, with a laptop or other device connected to Wi-Fi. Connect by HDMI or a casting setup, and use speakers if the room needs more audio coverage. A projector is optional; the official instructions also list a TV.
- Decide how to handle the video connection. Most hosts stream from a Vimeo link, according to Moms First. The page also describes local downloads, streaming options for larger venues at 2K, 4K, 1080p, or 720p, and an MOV file available on request. The listed options are operational guidance from the organizer, not independent testing. Check the current Host Hub for the format and instructions applicable to your event.
- Test the equipment before guests arrive. Moms First recommends a technical check. Confirm that the display shows the film correctly, the connection works, and the audio is audible throughout the room.
- For a virtual gathering, provide your own meeting platform. The host needs a service that supports screen sharing, with sound enabled so participants can hear the film.
- Check subtitle needs and current language options. The official page currently lists English, Spanish, French, Chinese, and Portuguese subtitles. Contact Moms First about other languages, and verify the live page because availability may change.
Choosing a setup for your venue
| Decision | Practical option | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Display | TV for a smaller room, or projector for a larger audience | Make sure the display can connect to the host device by HDMI or casting. |
| Video access | Stream from the private link, or use a local download if arranged | Streaming depends on a reliable connection; test it at the venue. Confirm download availability and instructions with Moms First. |
| Audio | Built-in audio or external speakers if needed | Check that dialogue can be heard from seats across the room. |
| Accessibility | Use an available subtitle option | The Moms First page currently lists English, Spanish, French, Chinese, and Portuguese; ask about other languages. |
What to expect at a community screening
Screenings are designed to create space for discussion as well as viewing. The Guardian reported that the organizers deliberately favored in-person community screenings and described events in homes, libraries, workplaces, and theaters. A Yale Working Women’s Network listing for August 7, 2026, advertised a screening followed by discussion. A Seattle event announcement published September 16, 2026, also described a panel and childcare provided at that specific event by Rosie; that local arrangement should not be assumed to be available at other screenings.

Check the current event details before making plans
Screening dates, access instructions, subtitle options, and technical arrangements can change. Use the official Moms First page for current event and hosting details. The available page information does not establish whether hosting carries a cost or licensing fee, so ask Moms First or check the live Host Hub before committing to a venue or budget. The official FAQ describes digital delivery and conversion options, but the sources do not establish whether a consumer DVD or Blu-ray is sold.
