Instituto Cervantes in Paris hosted the French premiere of El eco de otras voces, a documentary about fashion designer Adolfo Domínguez, on October 1, 2026. The film is directed by his daughter, Adriana Domínguez, and produced by Fundación Adolfo Domínguez.
What happened at the Paris premiere
In an announcement dated October 2, the producer said the screening took place the previous day. Adriana Domínguez attended, and journalist Abraham de Amézaga moderated a post-screening conversation with her and the audience about the designer, the company’s trajectory, and the making of the film. The producer placed the French premiere during Paris Fashion Week and alongside the label’s 50th anniversary.
Instituto Cervantes Paris’s official 2026 pre-screening program gives the auditorium address as 7 Rue Quentin Bauchart, 75008 Paris. That program provides venue context but does not independently list this particular screening.
What the documentary covers
El eco de otras voces tells the story of Domínguez through his own testimony and accounts from people in his personal and professional circles. The producer says it includes lesser-known parts of his biography, among them his childhood in Trives, in Ourense; imprisonment during the Franco era; and years of study in Paris.

Adriana Domínguez, the designer’s daughter and the company’s executive president, directed the film. Fundación Adolfo Domínguez produced it. In English: “We made this film because there was no complete record of Adolfo Domínguez’s life, work and thought. Now there is. He is an emblem of fashion, but also multifaceted and an enigma.”
How the Paris screening fits the film’s timeline
The October 1 Paris event was the film’s French premiere, not its world premiere. The producer says the documentary had previously been presented at the Ourense Film Festival (OUFF) and at Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid. A May announcement named May 8, 2026 as its planned release date on Filmin.
