For the week of April 22–28, 2024, the Canadian lineup included new series, films, documentaries and returning episodes on six streaming services. The dates and availability below are historical, and one listing for The Big Door Prize contains conflicting service information.
Canadian streaming releases for April 22–28, 2024
This roundup was published April 27, 2024. Its entries cover releases scheduled during that week in Canada; they do not establish whether a title is still available today.
| Service heading | Title | Format and date listed | Release pattern or note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple TV+ | The Big Door Prize, season 2 | Comedy series; ten episodes | The listing says the first three episodes arrive first, followed by weekly Wednesday releases. However, it gives a “Crave premiere date” of April 26, 2024, despite placing the title under Apple TV+. The service attribution is therefore unclear in the roundup. |
| Crave | Anyone but You | Film; premiere listed for April 26, 2024 | The roundup does not state an episode cadence for this film. |
| Crave | We’re Here, season 4 | Series; first episode listed for April 26, 2024 | Subsequent episodes listed for Fridays at 9 p.m. ET. |
| Disney+ | Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story | Documentary; four episodes, listed for April 26, 2024 | All episodes listed as available at once. |
| Netflix | Dead Boy Detectives | Series; eight episodes, listed for April 25, 2024 | The roundup identifies it as a Netflix Original; it does not specify the release cadence. |
| Netflix | Hack Your Health: The Secrets of Your Gut | Documentary, listed for April 26, 2024 | The roundup does not state an episode count or further release details. |
| Paramount+ | Knuckles | Series; six episodes, listed for April 26, 2024 | All episodes listed as available at once. The roundup describes it as a Paramount+ Original set between Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3, based on Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog games. |
| Prime Video | Luxe Listings Toronto | Series; seven episodes, listed for April 26, 2024 | All episodes listed as available at once; identified as an Amazon Original. |
Documentaries in the week’s lineup
Two of the listed releases are documentaries: Disney+’s four-episode Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, with all episodes listed for April 26, and Netflix’s Hack Your Health: The Secrets of Your Gut, listed for April 26. The roundup does not give an episode count for the latter.
How the releases were scheduled
The listings distinguish between full drops and staggered releases. Disney+’s Bon Jovi documentary, Paramount+’s Knuckles, and Prime Video’s Luxe Listings Toronto were each listed with all episodes available on their stated date. The Big Door Prize and We’re Here were described as weekly releases, though the former’s service label conflicts with its stated Crave date. For the remaining titles, the roundup does not specify a cadence.
