Hello Kitty Island Adventure is available on both PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch, with both storefronts listing January 30, 2025 as its release date. That does not confirm that PC and Switch players can play together or transfer saves between the platforms. The store pages list online and cloud features, but do not establish that those features work across Steam and Nintendo.
Is Hello Kitty Island Adventure cross-platform?
It is available on PC and Nintendo Switch, but the current Steam and Nintendo store listings do not confirm PC-to-Switch cross-play. Steam lists Online Co-op; Nintendo describes online play for one to two players. Neither listing says players on the two platforms can join the same game. Steam’s listing and Nintendo’s listing establish platform-specific features, not cross-platform multiplayer.

The dates and features above are as stated on the respective storefronts. Nintendo says online features require a Nintendo Switch Online membership, a Nintendo Account, and internet access. These platform-specific online and cloud labels do not establish interoperability between Steam and Nintendo accounts.
Can you move a save between PC and Switch?
Cross-progression or a Switch-to-PC save transfer is not confirmed by the reviewed store listings. Steam lists Steam Cloud and Nintendo lists Save Data Cloud, but those are not evidence that a save can move between the two platforms or be shared by their accounts. Do not assume that buying the game on both platforms will carry your progress across.

Steam lists these minimum requirements for the Windows version. They are the storefront’s stated requirements, not an independent performance test.

- Storage: 5 GB

Does Switch-to-Switch 2 cross-play affect PC players?
No conclusion about PC-to-Switch compatibility follows from the separate Switch-generation issue. A Reddit post reproducing a message attributed to the game team’s official Discord says separate builds after a Unity upgrade affected cross-play between Switch 1 and Switch 2. It describes further memory optimization and an engine upgrade as a future route to restoring that cross-play; it does not confirm today’s status, and it does not address PC-to-Switch play. Which version should you choose?
Choose based on where you want to play, not an assumption that multiplayer or saves will carry between platforms. The game is listed for PC on Steam and as Nintendo Switch software. Nintendo’s online-play conditions apply to the Switch listing; Steam lists its own PC requirements and features. The reviewed listings do not establish a physical edition or cross-platform account linking.
