As of October 4, 2026, Netflix has not officially announced XO, Kitty season 4. There is no confirmed release date, and the available official information does not say the series has been canceled.
Has Netflix renewed XO, Kitty for season 4?
No fourth-season order appears in the Netflix sources reviewed as of October 4, 2026. Netflix’s season 3 coverage and Media Center listing promote the third season, while Netflix’s series page currently presents three seasons. That establishes the latest confirmed season, not a cancellation or a final decision about the show’s future.

What is known about a possible season 4 or movie?
A Marie Claire update published July 20, 2026 said no season 4 renewal had been announced at that time. It attributed to Deadline a report that creator Jenny Han and Netflix were discussing whether to continue the story as a fourth season or conclude it with a movie. This is secondary reporting about discussions, not confirmation that either option has been approved.
When could season 4 come out?
Netflix has not announced a season 4 release date or production window in the official sources reviewed. Any specific date would be speculation until Netflix confirms another installment. The latest season is season 3, which Netflix’s Media Center lists as beginning to stream on April 2, 2026; Tudum’s season article, dated April 3, says it is streaming.

Does season 3 being Kitty’s final year mean the series is over?
No. Netflix describes season 3 as Kitty Song Covey’s senior year at the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS). That describes the season’s premise; it is not, by itself, an announcement that the series has ended. The season follows Kitty as she makes memories, grows closer to relatives in Korea, and defines her relationship with Min Ho. Lara Jean, played by Lana Condor, also appears in multiple season 3 episodes, connecting the spin-off to the To All the Boys universe without confirming further episodes or a movie.
Han has emphasized the show’s distinct point of view: “XO, Kitty really is Kitty’s story, and that’s part of the reason why I really wanted to set this story in a different place.” She made the comment as creator and co-showrunner in a May 17, 2023 Netflix Tudum interview. The series’ franchise connection and its focus on Kitty do not settle whether her story will continue.
