Netflix’s January 2026 preview highlighted returning favorites such as Enola Holmes 3, Lupin, Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man and The Gentlemen, alongside new dramas, films and animated projects. Later updates added more titles and some firmer timing, including Ray Gunn in December 2026 and THE ONE PIECE in February 2027. These announcements are a changing preview, not a complete release calendar.

What Netflix announced for 2026

On January 7, 2026, Netflix outlined a slate spanning series, films and games. Its announcement grouped titles across genres and audiences; it did not provide a complete list of everything launching that year.

Returning series and familiar worlds

Among the announced highlights were Bridgerton, Emily in Paris, Lupin and The Gentlemen. Netflix also called out Enola Holmes 3 and Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, extending familiar screen worlds in film form.

Thrillers, fantasy and family titles

The thriller selection included Here Comes the Flood, Apex and a new series adaptation of Man on Fire. Other highlighted projects included Narnia, ONE PIECE, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Devil May Cry and The East Palace. Family-oriented picks included Sesame Street and the animated film Swapped.

Netflix explicitly cautioned that the slate was incomplete: “Please note, this list is not comprehensive to all titles launching in 2026, and select title announcements will come later in the year.” The January list is best read as a selection of highlights, not an exhaustive schedule. What is coming in 2027

Netflix’s May 2026 Upfront highlights covered “2026 and Beyond,” including projects and live events planned across 2026 and 2027. One named event for 2027 was the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The announcement’s broad “and beyond” framing means that not every item had a precise premiere date or even a specific release window in that list. Netflix’s Upfront announcement.

A June animation update supplied clearer timing for two projects: THE ONE PIECE was set for February 2027, while animated film Ray Gunn was set for December 2026. Those windows are more specific than a general year label, but a window is not a day-specific premiere date. Netflix’s animation slate update.

How certain are the release dates?

The announcements vary in how much timing they establish. Use the distinctions below rather than treating every title as having a confirmed premiere date.

Books behind two announced adaptations

In a June 2026 summer roundup, Netflix named John Steinbeck’s East of Eden and Alex North’s The Whisper Man among books coming to the screen later in 2026. The roundup associates each book with an announced screen adaptation; it does not specify a book edition or establish a precise release date for either adaptation. Netflix’s summer roundup.
