Seth Green and Alyson Hannigan are tied for the highest estimated net worth in the most recent cast ranking located: Just Jared put each at an estimated $40 million in a March 20, 2026 article. These are media estimates, not verified disclosures of either actor’s finances.
Buffy cast net worth estimates at a glance
The figures below are from Just Jared’s March 20, 2026 ranking. The publisher says it relied on Net Worth Post, Idol Net Worth, and Celebrity Net Worth, and disclaims responsibility for the numbers. They should be read as reported estimates, not audited measurements.

Why the $40 million tie is not a definitive financial finding
Just Jared’s ranking places Green and Hannigan jointly at number one. It does not establish that their assets, debts, business interests, taxes, or residual income were measured on a common basis. Celebrity net-worth websites publish estimates; they do not disclose a full accounting of an actor’s private finances.

The household qualification on Gellar’s Celebrity Net Worth profile illustrates why comparisons need care: its $30 million estimate is described as combined with her husband, Freddie Prinze Jr. Hannigan’s $40 million estimate appears on Celebrity Net Worth as well, but that does not independently verify Green’s finances or validate the ranking’s calculations.
What their post-Buffy careers add to the picture
The cast members went on to different kinds of work, but a career résumé is context—not evidence for a particular net-worth figure. Biography.com’s February 4, 2025 retrospective notes Hannigan’s later role as Lily Aldrin on How I Met Your Mother, Gellar’s film and television work and co-founding of Foodstirs, and Boreanaz’s lead roles in Angel, Bones, and SEAL Team. Just Jared also points to Green’s later work on Family Guy and Robot Chicken, and Hannigan’s hosting and voiceover work. None of these credits supplies comparable earnings or private-wealth data.

The ranking is a snapshot published on March 20, 2026, rather than a live accounting. Celebrity Net Worth’s profile estimates were accessed October 4, 2026. No audited, independently published wealth statistic is established by these sources, so the figures are best used to answer who is reported to rank highest—not to determine who is actually wealthiest.
