Are Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple still together?
Yes, according to Joan Vassos’s comments reported by TV Insider/Swooon on August 6, 2026. She said they were still together, while acknowledging that they had no current relocation plan and were living day to day. Vassos said, “We haven’t grown apart because we’re not seeing each other as much. We have great times together.” She also described their approach as, “We’re kind of coasting along, living day-to-day, to be honest.” These are Vassos’s own descriptions, not an independent assessment of the relationship.
What viewers may read as warning signs
The most concrete reasons to question how the relationship will work are practical: the couple are long-distance, their visits are less frequent than they were in their first year, and they have not set a shared-life timeline. Those circumstances can look uncertain from the outside. They are not, by themselves, evidence of manipulation, possessiveness, an impending breakup, or emotional harm.

Visits are spaced weeks apart
In the August 2026 account, Vassos said they generally went three weeks to a month between visits. She contrasted this with seeing each other every two weeks during their first year. The reported change is a reason a viewer might wonder about the relationship’s day-to-day rhythm, but Vassos said they had not grown apart.
They have not chosen where to live
Their families are rooted in different states: Vassos’s in Maryland and Chapple’s in Kansas. In their early post-finale interviews, they discussed spending time in both places and using New York City as a possible home base. By August 2026, Vassos said they had no current relocation plan. Earlier possibilities should not be mistaken for a settled arrangement.

What they said about breakup rumors
In a December 9, 2025 interview with Bachelor Nation, Vassos rejected rumors that she and Chapple had split, saying, “Of course we’re together! We’re going to be together the whole month of December.” She also described a planned month in New York as a chance to see whether they wanted to live there. That claim goes beyond the available evidence. The reported facts support describing distance, less frequent visits, and an undefined future. They do not establish that Chapple behaved harmfully, that Vassos ignored specific warning signs, or that he will devastate her. Calling these circumstances “red flags” is a viewer’s interpretation; it should not be presented as a proven account of either person’s intentions or conduct.
