Spoilers for Invincible Season 3, Episode 6, including its ending.
“All I Can Say Is I’m Sorry” gives Mark a compelling new adversary in Powerplex, whose revenge forces the series to look beyond the choices Mark meant to make and toward the harm left behind. The episode’s most electric quality is not just its action: it is the uncomfortable question of whether remorse can amount to anything when someone else is still living with the consequences.
What happens in Episode 6?
Prime Video lists Season 3, Episode 6 as “All I Can Say Is I’m Sorry,” with a runtime of 54 minutes and a release date of February 22, 2025. Its synopsis describes a powerful new figure challenging Mark’s view of right and wrong, while Rae approaches Rex with a major decision. Prime Video’s Season 3 listing provides that official episode information; availability and subscription terms can differ by region.
Why Powerplex is a strong new villain
Powerplex is Scott Duvall, and his animosity toward Mark comes from personal loss. According to a ScreenRant review syndicated by Head Topics, Duvall’s sister and niece died amid the destruction associated with Omni-Man’s battle with Mark at the end of Season 1. That history gives the confrontation a human scale distinct from the series’ enormous Viltrumite threats: Mark is no longer facing only an enemy with a plan, but someone whose grief is tied to damage surrounding his own story.

That does not make revenge the same thing as accountability. Powerplex’s suffering makes his anger legible, but it does not automatically make his response just. The distinction gives the episode room to challenge Mark without turning the villain into a simple moral authority. Mark’s choices and the destruction around him can matter even when the precise responsibility for each loss is complicated.
Mark’s guilt is more than a familiar beat
Invincible has repeatedly asked Mark to reconcile his ideals with violence and collateral damage. Powerplex sharpens that theme by making the consequences intimate: a person affected by the destruction can stand in front of Mark and demand that his version of right and wrong answer for it. The risk is that another guilt-driven conflict could feel like a reprise. Here, the personal source of Duvall’s grievance gives the question a fresh point of pressure, even if the episode cannot resolve the broader moral accounting in one encounter.

How the supporting stories fit
The episode also advances relationships away from the central fight. Rae makes a decision about whether to pursue a normal life or continue as a superhero, leaving Rex more isolated. Rudy and Amanda share a moment shaped by Amanda’s de-aging condition, while Oliver’s Kid Omni-Man behavior supplies lighter beats. These threads widen the episode’s focus from Mark’s responsibility to the different ways people negotiate identity, duty and the cost of heroism.
They create a useful contrast with Powerplex’s direct, high-voltage grievance, though they also divide attention. Rae and Rex’s choice has clear emotional stakes, while the Rudy-and-Amanda and Oliver material provides texture and tonal relief. The episode’s balance depends on how much a viewer wants its central conflict to dominate; the supporting stories broaden the character picture rather than simply extending the main confrontation.

Performance and animation: the electricity lands
The ScreenRant review praises Aaron Paul’s voice performance as Powerplex for conveying pain, and singles out the electric-power sequences for their interactive lighting. Those effects give the conflict a vivid visual signature. The same critic would have liked more consistently detailed animation across the series, a reservation that sits alongside—not in place of—the praise for the episode’s charged action. That is one reviewer’s assessment, not a consensus claim.

Ending spoiler: The episode closes with returning antagonist Angstrom Levy revealing plans to unleash villainous multiversal versions of Mark, teasing the Invincible War. It is a season-level escalation that points from Powerplex’s personal grievance toward a much larger threat. The episode establishes the tease; it does not, by itself, establish what happens in that later conflict.
