Which actors left Tracker before Season 3?
TVLine reported that Eric Graise and Abby McEnany had departed the CBS series ahead of its third season. Graise played Bobby Exley, Colter Shaw’s hacker contact, and McEnany played Velma Bruin. TVLine’s July 18, 2025 report said Justin Hartley, who plays Colter, and Fiona Rene, who plays Reenie Greene, were the show’s two series regulars heading into Season 3. It also noted that Robin Weigert’s character, Teddi Bruin, had already been written out after Season 1. What happened to Bobby and Velma in the story?
In a September 29, 2025 report, CinemaBlend relayed an explanation from showrunner and executive producer Elwood Reid, speaking to TV Insider about the characters’ exits. Reid said Velma was going to be with Teddi, with relationship problems established in the season’s first episode. Bobby, he said, had taken an interesting job offer that viewers would hear about in that episode. These are the characters’ fictional destinations, not explanations for why either actor left the production. CinemaBlend’s account of Reid’s comments provides that story context.
Could Graise or McEnany return?
Asked about a possible return, Reid said, “There’s a possibility, but right now, in this first block, no.” That comment described the plans for the first block of Season 3 as discussed in September 2025. It left a return open in principle but did not promise one, and it is not a current production update. The cited reports do not establish the actors’ personal or professional reasons for departing.

When did Season 3 air, and when is Season 4?
CBS lists “The Process” as Season 3, Episode 1, with an air date of October 19, 2025. Its synopsis says Colter grapples with the truth about his father’s death while Russell joins him on a case involving the missing wife and daughter of one of Reenie’s clients. That episode date makes “ahead of Season 3” historical framing rather than a current update.
