Its U.S. Netflix listing gives it an R rating and a 91-minute runtime; availability and ratings can vary by country.
What is Incoming about?
Netflix describes the premise simply: “Four freshmen are faced with the greatest challenge of their young lives: their first high school party.” The story follows Benj, Eddie, Connor and Koosh as they approach and attend a party, where one night becomes a chaotic test of their confidence and sense of who they are.
Netflix Tudum characterizes it as one night in the lives of freshmen, the party they crash and the chaos that follows. Dave Chernin has said the story’s engine became the four boys’ “weird early-life identity crisis,” giving the party-comedy setup a coming-of-age angle.

What kind of comedy is it?
The Chernins have cited Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Can’t Hardly Wait and Superbad as broad influences, and said they wanted to make a silly comedy focused on laughs. Those are the filmmakers’ stated inspirations, not a guarantee that Incoming shares the earlier films’ tone or quality. Its freshman viewpoint and party-centered chaos are the clearest guides to whether its premise suits you.
