All five couples advanced to the finale, making the surprise result a five-couple contest for the trophy. Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy led Good Morning America’s reported leaderboard with 60 points.
Who was eliminated in the season 32 semifinals?
Nobody. After the results were announced, co-host Julianne Hough said, “For the first time ever, we’ll see five couples dancing for the trophy,” as quoted in Good Morning America’s November 29, 2023 recap. The judges’ scores and viewers’ votes carried over to the following week’s finale, according to the same recap.
Which couples made the finale?
The five remaining pairs each performed two new dances in the semifinals: one ballroom-style and one Latin-style. The reported combined scores were:
| Couple | Semifinal score |
|---|---|
| Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy | 60 |
| Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev | 59 |
| Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov | 58 |
| Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach | 57 |
| Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber | 51, according to GMA; 52, according to Entertainment Tonight |
The first four scores match between GMA and Entertainment Tonight’s November 28 recap. Those outlets disagree on Hannigan and Farber’s score, so the figure is attributed rather than reconciled.
